Justin Barbour

I'm an adventurer, explorer, filmmaker and author who believes life is better outdoors. The channel documents my adventures and expeditions in the wilderness.

I prefer self-propelled movement. Hike, paddle, ski, snowshoe, claw. Whatever moves me by my own steam. My notable Canadian expeditions include crossing 700km of my home island Newfoundland by snowshoe, boot & packraft and 1000km of Labrador & Northern Quebec by canoe. Both trips plus many more can be seen on the channel.

I fish, forage & hunt. This is camping, survival & bushcraft. Long challenging expeditions & also shorter relaxed tours. My dogs are usually along for the ride. And they carry their own weight.

My mission is to inspire others to utilize, appreciate and respect all nature offers. Maybe even light a fire in some bellies to step a little outside a comfort zone & dare to live a dream.

Honestly, I'm just a simple kinda guy who loves nature.

Witness its beauty and live the outdoor life through my lens.

Justin

So, how did you know it was abandoned? Do people leave these at fishing spots and get dropped off by helicopter?

I just finished watching the original trip you took in 2018 when you got iced in & had to stop. I'm excited now to see if you find your canoe & what kind of shape it's in.

The first time I saw a bear swimming it really surprised me too. I would never have guessed they could swim if I hadn't seen it for myself. Saw it swim out to a small island on lake superior. Crazy.

Do you think wolves ever put their paw next to a humans foot print and think, "LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT FOOTPRINT, this one must have been Huge!'
