I was looking for the perfect way to attach the sheet metal to the bottom of the box because glues and tapes failed me. Rivets are the perfect solution. Thanks!

As I printed mine I was able to manipulate the models and parts digitally, but this advice is valuable nonetheless in terms of how to secure the magnets in various locations with what and how to use stuff relating to that.

I might plan to do this with my larger Tyranids. How small do you assemble with magnets vs simply glue them? Is it only for models which have multiple weapons/poses?

I would think a "primer texture" before washes would simply make it look like the carapace isn't 100% smooth. More organic. Smoothness is super-important for an army like Tau with all their flat surfaces, but less so for Nids. Or so it would seem.

Thanks for the vid, I'm working on my first 40k army and I'm choosing tyranids and having the ability to switch out weapons is great for tweaking an army.

Simple yet amazing! Working on a Tyranids army currently. May cross this technique with a grim dark color scheme. It would come out perfect I think.

I'm thinking about doing a bright green and black version of this scheme and have a wash question. Would it be a good idea to switch out either the soft or light wash portion for army builder's olive green wash or can I just add 1/2 or 1 part of it to the mix?
@gwyn51448 ай бұрын
That is very cool. But... I cannot imagine doing this for a entire army. The amount of time required must be crazy.

Maybe no one reads this after 3years, but if you work with CA superglue you can make your life much easier by using activator. It cures the glue in a blink of an eye. But use it in good ventilated area or in mask, because it is a very aggressive chemical. I hope I can help someone.

Chose blue and white for my Nids a long time ago. Never painted most models. Been looking for something to punch up the scheme as test models looked generic. Your technique here, but switched to midnight blue / robin's egg blue / white might be just the ticket. Aaaaaaaaaaaaand I see in the sidebar a link to another video of yours where you do exactly that. Clearly my only course of action is to steal shamelessly. Your models look AMAZING.
