Over the years Ive acquired several 1000 minutes... so ive been getting the service with only 300 minutes per 2 months for the past 6 months and 18 bucks a month and try to whittle it down... but man its ending service. Been a great phone (still an old flip). I was about ready to find an old NOS flip just like the one I have on ebay and use it another 2 years... but I guess not eh? Ive recieved no notice in the service ending thru email... but I di know that walmart no longer carries the buy cards online so I knew something was up. I figured they want everybody on a legit smart phone.

Does the bill have to be paid every month for the unlock?
I would assume. I have heard online and from one person I sold a Metro phone to that they do tend to unlock phones that were activated. Even if they aren't currently active. I can't say for sure. But since most carriers require you to be active to get your device unlocked, I would say Metro is no different.

Believe me you’ll never catch me putting my main number on Dish or financing a device from them anymore. Now I’m strictly BYOD and new numbers with them. I’ve read plenty of horror stories people losing their numbers and not getting them back because of Dish & Boost.

I agree. Not good but it is interesting. Plus they have other issues with now making you be on the $60 w/ autopay plan to get a phone with a new number online. I bet T-Mobile prepaid sector is going to see a LOT of turnover

2G actually is max 64k
Carriers need to go more of the approach like 1-5Mbps speed cap after using the high speed data. You can’t do anything on them 2G speeds.
I know this is an older video already but just so you know Google Fi is actually QCI 6 just like the majority of T-Mobile plans. In fact, all T-Mobile plans are highest priority except for Essentials, which gets the same QCI of 7 as all MVNOs except for Google Fi. Google Fi is the only exception. So, the speed differences are likely just the result of phone, OS, and modem differences rather than priority since they should be treated at equal priority and so split the bandwidth in half theoretically.
That’s good to know. I mean I have known that T-Mobile has basically no priority and most their plans get the same access. It’s not like a huge difference with someone like AT&T or Verizon. But thank you for that information!
@SWOhioSpeedtesting You're very welcome!! It's true. Although T-Mobile deprioritization isn't always as harsh as the other two, it can definitely be felt at QCI 9 like their Internet plan. I feel it slow down a lot at times. It's not super bad. But it's definitely there.
Yeah, ive had net10 for a long time too. I like the cheapo price. Customer service may have been hard to understand the few times i used but i did manage. But yeah my current net10 phone has black streaks due to cracks and i was planning on gettin another one. I went to site and seen the simple mobile ad too...Idk. I may try to hold out with my phone until novemember or not....we'll see if current phone totally goes bonkers.....yeah i noticed new minimum price would be 25 instead of 20
Verizon absolutely demolished Tracfone. I didn’t agree having all those companies with similar options. But at least you had choice. And you could choose your network. And get the same plan on any network. And at the time the plans weren’t that bad. They could’ve made Tracfone better instead of worse. Especially Net10. That was such a forgotten brand.

Me too. I wasn’t happy about it. But they did work swiftly to fix it. And I think I originally gave like $60 for that phone. So I made off with some money. And I was able to fix it. So now if I wanted to sell it I’m basically nothing but profit. Not the way I wanted it to happen. But it worked out!
Net10 as of now still on until Nov. 2024. Can not get a new phone, but if you have a phone and plan it still works. Not sure about simple mobile, but they do want you to switch over.
I mean that’s good they have a set end date. And if they’re working to keep customers and move them that isn’t terrible. I understand the consolidation piece. But Tracfone was an absolute mess Verizon don’t care about. They should’ve just passed that deal. They’re messing it up and it’s taking a toll on their company by them having quite a few quarters of losses in prepaid. I would assume mostly comes from Tracfone. Not a good acquisition in my opinion.

Which Network do you think is the best in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Area?
I would say you can’t go wrong with any. Personally, if you’re just in town and not near big events, I’d say Verizon. They have a very good mmWave build there. However, at venues they are slow and sometimes unusable. A lot of places in Ohio still use LTE systems inside arenas. Once they update more to mmWave I’ll say for sure Verizon. AT&T is a good alternative. Most of their sites not many people are on. However, edge cell on 5G+ does have a lot of packet loss and stuff not loading from my experience.

Ebay scammed me and enabled scammers to scam me. I did delete my ebay account, i'd rather throw my sellable items away than deal with this nonsense. I sold a 2080 video card, the buyer claimed the card didn't fit their computer and initiated a return. When I received the card, it was no longer operational, they fried the card somehow. Ebay forced me to issue a refund and they kept all the fees, final value fee, transaction fee etc. Before that they allowed a return on my behalf on a VR headset, even though I indicated no returns. They stuck me with the shipping fees and final value fees. They admitted fault on that one and said they would refund the final value fees, never did. Getting through to them is a nightmare and not worth messing with. No more ebay for me ever again.

I had tracfone in the past and they also charge 10/GB and they completely cut service , it doesn't continue at 2g .

Dial *#0011# on the phone dialer. Only works on Samsung phones. And sometimes it’s blocked by the carrier. You shouldn’t have to hit call it should come up automatically after you hit the last #
Sounds like you didnt record you unpacking what you got back. Also sounds like you are not a top rated seller. I've been selling for over 20 years. Power seller when it was called that. Top Rated for over 10. Anything that would be this extreme of value will get an IC3 report and criminal charges against the buyer. Need to have a camera/videoing what your returns are, and a business attorney on standby. Most states allow for legal recovery for civil matters. Or at least compensation from criminal proceedings. It's not fun. Only had one bad one, probs 10 years ago. Got paid out: legal fees, costs, loss, and interest 4 years after. Godspeed on any other of your reselling endeavors.
I had taken video of me packing the phone out. I do with basically anything over $100. Whether I buy or sell. I definitely looked into small claims court and I would’ve taken action if needed. The fact that it happens quite often from what I see on forums and whatnot eBay needs to be held for this and find some new way to resolve these matters. I totally understand why people don’t sell to people without a certain amount of feedback.

Don't play games with them. I watched half of it and still didn't know what happened. If you paid with credit card get them working on it, chargeback. If it's fraud tell ebay you are filing a report with IC3 and police. Make a police report about this person and file with IC3. Get BBB involved. Ebay is terrible now, worthless.
I agree. I will stay on eBay for buying and that’s it. It ended up getting resolved and I got my money so I’m not complaining too much. But it’s absolutely BS eBay is just like “Oh it’s your problem.” No I’m selling on your site so you need to regulate what happens on it.

where did they get the return label?
Have no idea. I accepted the return and then eBay was like “We’re debating $13 out of your account for the label.” I never saw the label. But if I get things to my house still to this day from eBay I don’t see how the label could’ve been wrong. But they never showed me it so it could’ve had a wrong address for all I know.
This has been going on for years, oftentimes they'll send it to another business where some receiving agent will sign whatever is coming in. eBay seems like a bunch of dunces ignoring what is obviously going on here
I mean they could care less cause they got their cut from me listing it. But you know if no one is going to stop them they’ll just keep letting it happen. And if the buyers account gets banned they’ll just make a new one and do it again. Stores don’t even hardly stop people from stealing anymore and penalize them. Trust me from now on eBay is strictly just for buying stuff. And if that’s an issue I’ll just leave eBay completely.
Verizon is decent but AT&T does pretty good there.
I’ve noticed AT&T around me is getting better with speeds on the download at least. On both n77 channels together or even on just one. Their upload still needs a lot of love.

I mean you do whatever you want it’s your money but definitely stay safe out there! From now on if I want to sell a phone I’ll make sure it’s a reputable site like BackMarket. Or if I get a good trade in I’ll do that. If I have to I’ll do it in person at Walmart or the police station. But after this no way I’m selling on eBay anymore.

I was at work at like 345 or 4 I can’t remember and my iPhone 14 Pro on cricket only was getting LTE then it finally switched to 5G!
You never lost service? If not, that’s good! I mean even if they had 3G around still and you defaulted to that it’s better than no service.
