    Great Stuff Chris.. Another Cracking Video Mate.. Well Done For Painting the Details on the Signals Free Hand.. That Really was a Few Hard Shifts you put in for this Video Mate… 👏👏👏 For My Railway I’ve just Bought old O Gauge Track and Rolling Stock,, I will just Pin it to bits of MDF and Ballast it like we did in the 1970’s lol I Did buy the same signals as you from S.P because the Train set ones Seemed massive and out of Scale…. They came out really well. I made some clump foam for hedges which turned out a disaster. I will look at using them for explosions instead. I also had to laugh as I also bought a cheap airbrush to spray yellow on some terrain. The airbrush seems good to use on terrain and undercoating vehicles but will use my Badger for more detail work.

  • @TheGreatMim
    @TheGreatMim18 күн бұрын

    Cheers Dan, yes they’re a great way to use up any clump foam your not happy with. I’d had that so called berry clump foam kicking around for ages and I could never bring myself to use it on terrain pieces. The cheap airbrush did its job for now, but I wouldn’t want to bet on it lasting long😂. Thanks for watching😉

  • @TheGreatMim
    @TheGreatMim18 күн бұрын

    Thanks mate, to be fair the cheap airbrush did do a nice job, but how long it lasts remains to be seen. I’ve had something similar in the past and it died within the hour. I got it replaced and the replacement lasted about a month. I thought it would be good for this project, so I bought the cheapest one I could find. I wouldn’t want to recommend it though, given my past experience, but then you get what you pay for I guess😉 www.ebay.co.uk/itm/386592147275?var=653942135908

    Did you find the new plastic weapons team a better match for the plastic box sets? I've found the metals often look smaller. I have assembled a Brit Para force that has sat for nearly a year unpainted. I usually do a section at a time so seeing the full force laid out is intimidating.

  • @TheGreatMim
    @TheGreatMimАй бұрын

    Size wise, I would say they are more of a match to the box sets, well kind of, but I wouldn’t say they were any closer to the crisp look of the box sets. They still have the look of the metal ones. Passable once painted though. Yes, I must admit, I’m a bit daunted by the amount of figures I have waiting for paint this year. The trouble is my brain tumour has effected my vision a little and close work does tend to give me headaches, but hopefully when I get closer to the top of the waiting list and go in for treatment I might see some improvement. Until then I’ll just plug away slowly. Thanks for watching mate😉

    Nice model and well built. I am thinking of something similar. There is always the problem of scale with 1/56 scale bolt action. 1/48 is closer than 1/72, but 1/48 is bigger on the table than it should be and may work in the foreground with bolt action figures in the background...1/72 is a lot smaller so can work as a background model to bolt action in the foreground...choices choices choices

  • @TheGreatMim
