Sofa is Far better lol I’ve Bought 3, 060 Lima 3F Locomotives , cheap as chips as they are Non Runners.. They will be stored away until my Retirement, , I will send you a few pics on your Facebook page.. They came out really well. I made some clump foam for hedges which turned out a disaster. I will look at using them for explosions instead. I also had to laugh as I also bought a cheap airbrush to spray yellow on some terrain. The airbrush seems good to use on terrain and undercoating vehicles but will use my Badger for more detail work.

Cheers Dan, yes they’re a great way to use up any clump foam your not happy with. I’d had that so called berry clump foam kicking around for ages and I could never bring myself to use it on terrain pieces. The cheap airbrush did its job for now, but I wouldn’t want to bet on it lasting long😂. Thanks for watching😉

Thanks mate, to be fair the cheap airbrush did do a nice job, but how long it lasts remains to be seen. I’ve had something similar in the past and it died within the hour. I got it replaced and the replacement lasted about a month. I thought it would be good for this project, so I bought the cheapest one I could find. @@pauldavies9218 one option would be to get a first issue sprue of Rangers because the weapons aren’t moulded into the hands so you could set one up as left handed with minimal kitbashing required😉

Painting is going to be challenging, my visions not great close up now, particularly with the tumours effect. Hopefully it’ll improve when I get it treated but still on a waiting list at the moment. Did you find the new plastic weapons team a better match for the plastic box sets? I've found the metals often look smaller. I have assembled a Brit Para force that has sat for nearly a year unpainted. I usually do a section at a time so seeing the full force laid out is intimidating.

Size wise, I would say they are more of a match to the box sets, well kind of, but I wouldn’t say they were any closer to the crisp look of the box sets. They still have the look of the metal ones. Passable once painted though. Yes, I must admit, I’m a bit daunted by the amount of figures I have waiting for paint this year. The trouble is my brain tumour has effected my vision a little and close work does tend to give me headaches, but hopefully when I get closer to the top of the waiting list and go in for treatment I might see some improvement. Until then I’ll just plug away slowly. Thanks for watching mate😉

Nice model and well built. I am thinking of something similar. There is always the problem of scale with 1/56 scale bolt action. 1/48 is closer than 1/72, but 1/48 is bigger on the table than it should be and may work in the foreground with bolt action figures in the background...1/72 is a lot smaller so can work as a background model to bolt action in the foreground...choices choices choices

Thanks mate, yes the airbrush will be ideal for that. I did have an airbrush set up, but I wasn’t using it enough then, but I’ve recently bought a cheap portable hand held airbrush, so I’d probably use that now too. Thanks for your continued support😉

Ive seen people make some decent bamboo terrain from Temu plants. Some of yours look a bit big but I am eager to see what you make from them.

If you go to B&M (other stores might do the same) which has a gardening section. You can buy a huge bag of outdoor plastic plants for £30. Almost a lifetime supply.

Nice model and well built. I am thinking of something similar. There is always the problem of scale with 1/56 scale bolt action. 1/48 is closer than 1/72, but 1/48 is bigger on the table than it should be and may work in the foreground with bolt action figures in the background...1/72 is a lot smaller so can work as a background model to bolt action in the foreground...choices choices choices
Yes scales always the issue. When Hornby bought into Warlords I was hoping we might see them produce a range of 1/56 scale aircraft as they own Airfix. Good luck with your project. Thanks for watching😉

Wow, you know that’s another reason I’m doing it because like you I remember happy times to years ago when Dad built a railway set for me and I was his help mate. It was trying to recapture those times that brought be into crafting terrain and later Bolt Action when my health started failing a bit. Great minds think alike hey😉
