    @@CNCModellerUK I have started thinking of a polar3D printer, about the same size but based on a RatRig V-Minion. Just to print vases and lamps with lager nozzles

  • @CNCModellerUK

    Duet 3Ds RRF supports polar out of the box albeit if you are considering a build you need to factor in being able to tram in the rotary axis I have a system that allows me to do this but it’s inherent in the structural design. My target is large model aircraft which are essentially big tubes too. Good luck with your project!

    Briefly yes, however the thrust line was way off and I wasn’t able to land it safely. Planeprint have released an updated motor head with much more nose down on the thrust line that’d probably have made the maiden flight much less difficult… it put me off modelling for quite a while but I’m slowly getting back into it :-)

    You have the 1mm transition radius centred on the PLD. It should be on the circle defining the top of the teeth. I think that's why you had to fudge the connection in your first video.

    Great stuff. Luv the good use of parametrics. I was unable to replicate (update did not work when changing number of gears) I tried many things but what worked for me was to project three circles that represent the arcs onto a new sketch then and mirror them across the 1/2 ToothAngle line. Unfortunately a bit of a pain to select multiple profiles. I'm quite sure there is a better way.

    I tried the example and it is working fine. I ran into problems when trying to generate a pulley with more than 40 teeth. It says PulleyTeeth failed. PulleyTeeth is the name of the sketch generating the teeth. I have not done the combination of all the teeth to be more flexible in parameterizing the pulley. Any idea where this can come from?

    Hey, great video. Is it possible to ask what you did to achieve very good print results with this printer? Im using ReplicatorG but im not satisfied and before updating my board and eventually bricking i want to ask if you have some easy tips. Thank you very much

  • @CNCModellerUK
    @CNCModellerUK Жыл бұрын

    I've just converted the D4s to a duet 2 control card, and the print results are much improved. The original board firmware had many settings baked in and couldn't be tuned, print quality was never great but usable for mechanical parts. The water cooling made a big difference for printing ABS in a closed chamber with high nozzle and bed temperatures. Filament stripping in the extruder gear was much less likely. Good luck with your upgrade, hope it goes well. All the best Barry M

    I'm pretty sure that the drawings are on Denford data but I can't find them. Thanks so much for this excellent solution. I had a small leak at the push fitting on the hot water outlet in an RV. After swapping out the tubing with no success, figured it had to be the o-ring inside the fitting. After calling all local plumbing suppliers looking for a new fitting, again with no success, I found your video. It worked perfectly. Thanks again. The Happy Camper.

    Well you vasically dont need an upper surface to create. There is a function in "Extrusion", wher you can set the extrusion to punsh through a solid body, and its callet "To All" you can set it ti stop on the outside if the Wing, " on Object" or " to all" when you set it to " to all", you can type in an offset, that resambles the with of you outer surface. So you basically need only your wing and your Inner structure. But be aware, the inner structure you have drawn, has to be within the surface of of your wing, so dont draw it outside of your wing area.

Well I can by just uploading the video file itself as an Attachment to a post, but it's still weird. How do you have Patrons? I have more Subscribers than you but no Patrons. There is something you are doing right when it comes to Patreon I think.

Doing things like early access and publicising your patrion in your video alongside like and subscribe helps.
