Thanks Andrew! That means a lot coming from you :-)
Would love to chat. I notice you do not have it in the middle. We have the 0,0 singularity issues fixed on the one we are working on.

I'm using RRF which manages the singularity behaviour but it's still better to keep away where possible...
Awesome 👌

Happy to chat, haven't worked much on this since it's I'll fated first flight. I'm upgrading the printer before re printing the replacement parts.
amazing vidoe! I am looking to build my own polar 3d printer, but I was wonding how you would slice your models... can you explain? it would help a lot :)

If you use the Duet 3D controller in polar mode it uses normal cartesian GCode and does the axis translation on the fly. duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/ConfiguringRepRapFirmwarePolarPrinter That being the case apart from setting your slicer up with a round build plate your off to the races.
Really impressive !! How long did it tale for this part ?

Hi Pierre, Thanks! Unfortunately the web interface dropped out, but I think it was approx. 60hrs. The print wasn't very efficient sliced as there are lots of travel moves. I'm trying to re-engineer the print CAD to hopefully make it much faster. All the best Barry M

@@CNCModellerUK Thanks for your answer. I guess because of the new size it is printed in PLA and not LW-PLA, thus your are no using the "surface" mode in Cura and are having 2/3 walls to reinforce the structure. Are you printing with a 0.4 nozzle ? May be using a larger one 0.8 and keeping Surface mode with 1 wall would help to reduce travels.

It's printed with a 0.6mm nozzle as per the original thin wall process, however I will be skinning it with fibreglass and resin. I'm going to re-engineer the CAD to make the print faster.
What slicer do you use

I used to use Simplify 3D but have moved to Cura recently. The polar kinematics are provided by the Duet control board firmware configuration.
Can you send the file in Stl?
