whats the location of this spot? It looks fantastic
I really love the way the video turned out! Thank you so much for being willing to feature my product on your channel and being so easy to work with. I look forward to watching more of your camping videos in the future and keep up the great work! -Andrew
+10 HP???
Looks great!!!
At least my dad is alive lmaooooo
Kim looks great. 👍
This reminds me that I am going to have to learn how to maintain an SUV. Not an easy task, as I have no automotive skills. After KZread takes notice of my comment I will be bombarded with DIY lessons, I suspect. That's a sharp looking grille. I've got an itch for a Sequoia SR5. Also like your Cruiser, too. Happy Trails!
Now all you need it a widdle wadder to complete your 100 series TRD Pwo 😂 Snark aside it looks really good!
Nicely done!
The Found Coast
There was a news segment about a year ago regarding drug cartels and Hmongs that have illegal cannibus grow operations in the Mt. Shasta / Trinity areas. There has been reports of overlanders / campers alike being confronted by them or "potshots" at travelers.
Is that Skipbo?
Indeed!
If you two decide to quit the camping videos, you Must stay online in some capacity; Kim is a natural born comedian, and Winston's big booming voice is perfect for voice-overs or narration. You are both very clever and likable. I do not watch TV, nor do I own one, and it is because TV personalities are hyperactive, phony buffoons.
Really appreciate the kind words! We’re sticking around these parts for sure
Is this Land Cruiser also a daily driver?
I started watching random videos here and so far cooper has rolled in poop, pee'd in the land cruiser and thrown up on your sleeping bag. He is a rude boy.
Get an Aeropress.
I've been using the Ioutlander and so far I'm very impressed with that app. So much more on it than the Dyrt.
One day when I'm out camping I'm going to remember to keep an eye out for you two! I'm an Oregonian too and I came across your page because I want to do more free camping. Except I'm a glamper. I will have my trailer with me haha 😅
A fun group of funny people and their lovely dogs. Down to earth and well adjusted, I'd say.
FYI, water levels drop considerably during summer.
I just recently got a 100 series Land Cruiser same color. :)
Definitely understand the trolls dislike of country music.
So happy to have found you two, two years late, but never too late. Hope your wedding went well, and you are still making these great videos. I enjoy your passion for discovery and your intelligent, tranquil spirits. I'm planning an extended Oregon camping tour after I sell my SoCal house, buy a roomy SUV, and put all my worldly crap in storage. Who knows what kind of country we will have by then. Would love to meet up with you if it is my fate.
I think your dog is a river rock collector.
I have driven the minimal tracks of the Umatilla NF in early summer working for the Forest Service. I can tell you that you have not seen muddy until you've seen it on the breaks above Pilot Rock.
Just bought a 100 series 2006 LC, glad to own one finally, I'm even thinking about selling my 2015 5th gen 4R.
Anyone having trouble filling these? This is my second one and it refuses to fill at any place i go. I wantrd to like the product but at this point im just pissed
Weird! I haven’t had this issue. I’ve just filled it at any gas station that offers propane.
Making videos is hard, boring and tedious work. Make it easy by bringing the camera, setting it up in one place and doin yo thang. Then post with minimal editing. You dont have to talk to the camera. the best parts of this video were the sounds and views of the river and camp site. and Cooper is very photogenic
I feel we're all out outdoor enthusiasts but you also gotta get out explore, get lost and find your own piece of paradise. Take the less traveled trail and you will find where most won't dare to go. And remember you're not in the city so pick up your crap
I’ve been there many times, and always get invaded by site seekers. It’s a hidden gem, well executed video.
Bro you helped me out with your video.
The rumbles are most likely grouse lol. Those things make some wild rumbling with their wings. Messes with your head.
Subscribed! Thanks for sharing. I like the point about doing this to meet likeminded people. Keep up the good work.
In 1986 a buddy and I rode our motorcycles from Plumas county in the northern Sierras of CA to Port Angeles WA and back over 15 days. He had a new 1986 Honda XL 600, and I had a 1981 Honda XL 500. We rode for 3,300 miles total. Our ride from Mt. Hood to Mt. Rainer was quite a bit of what today is the WA BDR.
Panther Creek Falls is a magical place...
Just found you guys, and it's been a while since I've subbed so quickly! Hello fellow Oregonians! Loving the content, and Kim's Not-Very-Good Outdoor Cooking Show™. I am looking forward to impressing folks at the next company cook-off with my newfound skills of warming up pre-cooked gumbo and dried-out pre-cooked rice. From what I've seen, you guys find some pretty bitchin' camp sites, so I understand your unwillingness to share them with the denizens of the internet. Anyway, glad to have stumbled across you guys, and maybe we'll see each other on the trail someday, but cheers, and thanks for the awesome content!
so happy I found this channel! Please keep making more content! Its so great to see what feels like real experiences anyone can get into vs spending a gazillion dollars on all the things and making it your life. Im a big fan of the humor that cuts through your videos haha. Im definitely inspired to get out of the PDX area and go explore this summer because of you guys!
Hey, cheers! Glad we could bring some camping inspiration 😄
@@ScaleofTwo I can only hope I (or maybe I shouldnt) run into you two on the trail one of these days!
Been a while since I’ve camp at Chumstick Mtn.
Always in awe spotting Castle Crags driving along I5.
No doubt, glad we finally stopped to check it out
Good friends, beautiful NW scenery and a few cold beers. Life can't get much better than this video.
No doubt!
Hey, its great to see you back! Looking forward to see where you end up this summer. We need to go camping more in down Oregon Your channel is a great inspiration!
Thank you for an informative video well done.
I was born and raised in Coos Bay. Tip of the day from a lifetimer; air down to about 8PSI for soft sand. Makes a world of difference and can really help prevent your transmission from overheating. I've never been stuck using that method. On roads and big ol dunes. I drive a Yukon XL, which without my camping gear and family is at 5,900 lbs. Also, I've camped in the exact same spot you did in this video. I promise the trash wasn't mine.
Yeah, definitely should have aired down more, but it was a fun excuse to use the traction boards 😅 And good! That was definitely an excessive amount of trash that day
I don't believe there's an ax on the other end. I think somebody hammered the handle into the wood say that five times fast LOL. Thank you though for a great video. Really really thank you
Lol, someone got in there good for sure! Wouldn’t budge an inch. And cheers! Thanks for watching
I always enjoy your videos! You don't need to have something to say - just taking us along on your adventures is enough. It inspires and motivates me to get out. Also, nice spot! ;-)
Appreciate ya!
Ok that's it , I want to go I got the gear and thingys to make it fun and live close to Rainer and also we bring a shower with. Soooo let's go!!! Great video and showing the pnw!!!
I know this is a older video but I just watched it and enjoyed it! I really appreciate your videos.
Thanks for watchin 🤙🏼
Great to see a new video from y’all. That camp spot is such a wonderful little gem. Last time I tried to camp there it was so trashed I had to go elsewhere. I took as much of the trash as I could fit but it seemed like it didn’t even make a dent. Looking forward to more videos!
Yep…did a tiny bit of clean up before we left, but can’t really take the bigger stuff. It is actually cleaner than the last time we were here though
@@ScaleofTwo that’s good to hear! Cheers!
thanks for the video. im really thinking about starting a channel..
Great video! I’m guessing you can’t sit up inside the back of the landcruiser while you are sleeping. Everything is personal, but seems like it would bother me. Kim cracks me up.
Thanks Steve! And yeah, it definitely does bug me. Have strongly considered getting a pop top just for that reason, but overall the lack of headspace isn’t crazy uncomfortable, just a little annoying
