I would run ACDelco oil filters all day long well built and I don't have to worry about it I wouldn't touch a fram with a ten foot pole 🤣🤣

When I used to do it years ago they came in sets of 3 which was far more stable than the 2 you have. The important thing you didn't mention is to keep yourself and all parts of yourself out of the line of the spring while working so that if anything does slip you don't get impaled. P.S. The important thing is maintaining tension in each compressor, so an impact wrench was a stupid idea!

Can i ask a question? Normaly maybe 30k miles will be achieved by 2 or 3 years for someone who use a car regularly to work or other daily activity But if you have a car that not being used regularly, maybe it only achieved 5 or 6k miles a year. Is it okay to change automatic transmission fluid once in 5 - 6 years? Or maybe there a certain maximum time interval that you should change that fluid beside from the car mileage like engine oil (which i know is 12 month that should be changed even the car is not reached certain mileage like 3 - 4 miles a year)

You make a good point here. Do your maintenance regularly and do it right. Then it won't even matter how old your vehicle is.

New part doesn't always mean its a good part... especially if its an after market verses OEM. So many people assume because a part is new that it is “good”… many mechanics have been sent chasing their tail only to find out that “new” part is not a good part. Firing the parts cannon because one suspects there may be a bad part back fires more often than it doesn't

45 years ago, i started to change struts on a 1976 280z I did it with no spring compressor on the car, problem was putting the spring back on. A friend owned a body shop, he had a spring compressor that used shop air, that Got the spring back on the car. I don't think they make these anymore. But I'm going to bet you can use a hydrlics unit like that that uses a close and an open valve system So once its closed it can't open with one button you have to push a safety and the valve. If it bleeds out it can only bleed out slowly.

Seafoam has a flash point of just 55F. That means it's going to evaporate quickly and effectively do nothing, let alone last for a few hundred miles in the crankcase. Indeed, nobody that uses Seafoam understands it. If they did then they'd know how useless it is at best.

I confirmed on the phone with bilstien there is no difference from the 5100 to the 4600 except the 5100 can work on a truck lifted up to 2 inches. Otherwise they perform exactly the same and the 5100 works the same at stock ride height.

my dad use to own a house cleaning business back in the early/mid 90's and he would clean all the new homes built to get ready to be sold. I remember he would use simple green and water in a bucket and would use steel wool and a razor blade to clean the windows. The blade was to take off any overspray and sticker residue... let me tell you, those windows were clean!!!

If you're trying to fix a clip like the one that snapped, next time use superglue and sprinkle some baking soda on top. It hardens instantly and hardens ALOT harder than normal. You can even completely replace the clip by making one out of super glue and baking soda sometimes.

I had a weak tension spring on belt tensioner and the "new" alternator was slipping and heating the alternator pulley and cooked the sealed bearing on the "new" alternator. Finally after replacing the tension device it loaded the "new" alternator / bearing with cooked grease and the shaft burned off in less than 5 miles of driving. Believe it or not no real noise except when serpentine belt made a very high amplitude bang slinging the alternator pulley and piece of shaft about the engine compartment. The tensioner being loose probably heated all of the pulleys but the Alternator responded first. I never trust a tensioner past 50K.

I hope I can get an answer. -- I have a Kia soul 2012 2.0L automatic. The compressor has been leaking a drop for some time. I tried to stop it with RTV silicone but not luck. The car has 74K miles, A/C is cooling fine, and compressor is working. Do you think I will need to replace expansion valve and Drier with 74K miles and the system working just fine? -- I already bought a brand-new compressor (OEM), and planning for next year to change it. summer is coming and I live in the desert with 110 degrees. I keep my car in good shape. I'm not a stupid kid keeping the car full of garbage, and never take care of their car, so now you know how my car will be. -- I will appreciate any reply. Thank you for this video and your answers.

You’d think someone would’ve made some stainless braided hoses that thread right into the oil filter adapter, thusly eliminating the quick disconnect junk.

Dont listen to the people giving you crap abt the "parts cannon" thing. I do the same thing with my 2005 Silverado. It only has 268,000 miles on it, so there are a few original parts on it. I have no problem replacing old parts as a matter of course. I have not had car payments since 2007. I am a retired aircraft mechanic so I am well aware of "old parts".
