  Ulster is 100% Irish. Six of the counties of Ulster are currently foreign occupied. It is very similar to Ukraine. Part of it is currently occupied by a thuggish and hostile neighbour.

  Rewriting history to suit an expansionist narrative, justifying proxy incursions, ethnic cleansing, genocide, providing safe havens and proxy violence, is unfortunately not uncommon. Even on our own doorstep, the Republic of Ireland have totally rewritten and sanitised, not only Dublin's part in Irish history, but also foolishly inserted a part of this fictionalised version of history, into their constitution and national anthem. As evidence for all to see and verify their abuse of history. "A Nation Once Again" or “reunification” are fictional, concepts, fantasy, nonsense statements, as there was never a sovereign Southern Irish government that governed Ulster, now called Northern Ireland. Ulster or Britain have been the only two historical rulers of Ulster. Ulster was independent kingdom before being subdued and ruled by the British, conquered centuries after our Southern Irish neighbours. “A Nation Once Again” for Ulster, now unfortunately called Northern Ireland, would be independence, should it eventually decide to split with the UK. Definitely not the disaster that unification would bring, as incessantly promoted by the Republic of Ireland and used frequently as a justification for proxy violence and disruption.

  I think the founder of this band is originally from ahoghil but moved to canada, then his son carried on his legacy and went back and forth, great that they maintain the tradition even across the sea.

  @@Ulster-vi4mt I fight with some of my family and friends over their staunch republican beliefs, it is a very flawed ideology, and yes I will try and back my brothers and sisters with unionist beliefs until my dying breath, bands like this are an expression and representation of these aforementioned beliefs.

  good luck and god bless with your efforts ! Off topic advice. Although it is a history, I always found ATQ Stewart’s “The Ulster Crisis” a good grounding of Unionism as an ideology and set of arguments. If you’re interested in the Covenanters, “Irish and Confederates and Scottish Covenanters” covers the period it very well.

  @@Ulster-vi4mt I don't read often but I do learn history through music and different songs have interesting backgrounds, rudyard kipling did a few songs or poems rather, on the home rule crisis, but If these are actual books I'll have a look into them, if they have audio versions I will most definitely, and thank you for being so positive mate it always makes it easier, you will never successfully persuade someone through fighting, you need actual arguments, which communists for example never have.

  I used to be the same learning history through videos and music. I’ll tell you this as I learnt it in some senses the hard way. You get 10x the information and 10x the enjoyment from reading than you do from watching a documentary/listening to music. I would also suggest reading more than just Irish/Ulster history. Sure both are great, but expanding your knowledge horizons is infinitely better. Alongside it, in of itself, is a case for Unionism. Republican history looks at Irish history purely from the lense of *ireland* rather than the internationally. Explored in-depth in “the narrow ground”, basics for Irish history imo. All general advice and my opinions.

  B Specials were the force that countered IRA murderous campaign in northern Ireland..... Catholics should read the correct history books for it shows that northern Ireland allocated 1/3 of the RUC for Catholic officers. That percentage was more than required in 1921. The population of Northern Ireland was 2 to 1 in favour of protestants. But quess what the Roman Catholic church told their congregation not to join the RUC.... There would have been no B Specials if the murdering IRA didn't exist....

  Ulster is and always was a province of 9 counties within the island of Ireland . 6 of these counties are under British control hence the 6 county state of NI. Ulster is not British, NI is. MPH
