Lol, they are indeed largely the same but they do not think so. They will shout in yr face that they are British not Irish. They hate anything Irish whether it be culture, music, dance, language. That equates to racism no matter how u look at it.

@@seanochroidheain6687 No it is not. I did explain: both are members of the race: they're both WHITE. Not every kind of discrimination is "racism". What is so difficult to understand about that? (It would have been different, if one of them had been, say, black.)

Maybe u need to check on the cases won by Irish people in British courts ref racial discrimination or maybe u need to check on the racism practised by the Nazis against any white race they did not like. Racism is not just about colour. The loyalist people of the north are British and they categorically deny that they are of the Irish race. You need to respect that. They cloak their racism with religion. It is that simple. They hate the Irish and everything Irish. They have launched serious pogroms against the Irish, they have had torture chambers i.e. the Romper Rooms and they still to this day commit racial killings of the Irish. You cant get more racist then that.

Assume this is very early 1970's as no date given. The blank bits could do with editing out, or an overlay of pictures, nevertheless, useful to see so many places and faces that, in many cases, are long gone. Was in N'Ards on 12th July for the parade and had a great time, though Belfast has changed so much with its new tall buildings, as disorienting as Dublin's changing skyline. Progress is everywhere and takes no prisoners...

Yeah, between January - March 1970, as April 1970 is when they started loosing their imperialist grip. On a side not this could only be between 2 - 5 months since the Battle of the Shankill, when UVF Snipers shot dead the first RUC man of the conflict, & the British Army shoot dead 2 UVF snipers & a Protestant civilian with about 20 Protestants injured by Army bullets & about a dozen injured soldier
