  Writing tips: strey away from terms like "a bit" when writing in an official sounding sense. Also maybe study actual field notes and scientific papers in order to get a taste for the vernacular.

  I'm pretty certain that pure-audio section was an infected quite literally beating someone to a pulp. Those particular sounds of battery are what you get when you're being struck hard enough to *break you apart* and earlier in the tape it states that the infected are known to laugh uncontrollably. In particular that voice sounds like Rarity.
