A friend got me into Tool when we were both students in around 2008. I'd heard of them before but never really listened. Saw them for the first time 2 nights ago in London with that same friend! Amazing experience.

Deftones doing a cover of Helmet's "Sinatra" from Strap it On is enough proof that the album did influence one of the pillar bands of nu metal. The drop tuned stacatto riffs from Meantime were also a huge influence!

I have followed this channel because of the great music coverage. However I think pizza gate is 100% a real thing. As far as Chester or Chris’ involvement I don’t know but I am fully convinced politicians in DC and Hollywood are involved in a large scale traffic organization. Think I’m crazy go ahead, but you all would have thought Epstein island was crazy - and he was just part of it.

I think Kiss is going on their 30.8754 th fariwell tour....Motely has a long way if that's their goal, but wouldn't pay a dine to see them. I've seen horrible youtube videos of them playing tracks and underperforming. I'll keepp and cherish their greatness of the 80's in their albums...

My first Slayer show was Oct 31st, Halloween night, 1988, at Stabler Arena, Bethlehem, Pa for the World Sacrifice (South of Heaven) tour, with Motorhead and Overkill filling out the opening slots. I remember Tommy was wearing a black t-shirt with Sex, Murder, Art printed on it, if that's not edgelord, nothing is. I've seen them at least 10 more times before Jeff passed away, and even though the Christ Illusion tour was probably my personal favorite, that first show at Stabler left it's mark.

I dont know why "country western " music always gets a free pass, its every bit as wicked as rock, only more subtle, you know like the serpent himself, also when these performers deny having anything to do with satan, remember satan is the father of LIES, there's no such thing as a Christian rocker.

I wish everyone who listen to Nu Metal or are into it's history would listen to Vai's debut album. Steve Vai, Devin Townsend, TM Stevens and Terry Bozzio. It was the first nu metal album I heard. It had all of the hall marks of Korn who came along 2 year later. Townsends vocals on it were a blue print for Davis, all kinds of weird screams and signing. Feldy stole every TM bass line he every put out, Bozzio's drumming, Dave paid a lot of attention to. Vai down tuned big time for the guitars, though he did solo all through it along with Townsend. They even used Vai's custom 7 string Ibanez guitars.

The first time I heard Rammstein was when my friend put on Mein Herz Brennt. Went out and got the Mutter album and went home and listened it a lot, over and louder. To put it into context. I couldn't speak a word of German. I was a teenager who wore baggies and black nail polish. Sharing a house with two Chavs. Big brand names, donk donm music and absolutely no foreign language. When they heard it I was grilled by the usual "what's that shite" "turn that crap off" etc. When I informed them they were German all I got in response was "why are you listening to fu*king Nazi's". Ashamed to admit I share the same bloodline as those morons! Hearing Rammstein made my ears orgasm! And it still does today! I can't help but play them loud. Just found it funny a bit that Till does random things to stop him from feeling awkward. I've literally always asked that to myself about him!

Great vid like always, but you can't be talking about rap and metal/rock fusion without mentioning Biohazard, especially their seminal 1992 record Urban Discipline. The way they brought everything together had never been done so seemlessly before. Also, the sountrack for Judgement Night from 1993 featuring all rock/hip hop collabs, most notably Just Another Victim with Helmet and House of Pain and Judgement Night with Onyx and Biohazard, definately deserves a mention.

Just my opinion, but I think this stuff sucks totally. I grew up with Heavy Metal and started listening to Metallica in 1983 but at least that was good quality music and the vocals weren’t just a blur of somebody growling. This music is so one dimensional as the critic said, just the same stuff over and over again, and you can’t understand the lyrics at all so those are pointless. Just another noise in the racket. this is made for people who just like scary things, it’s not quality music, but they like it cause they make it seem as though it makes them tougher and bigger, even though it’s just a bunch of noise.

Anthrax seems to be mostly forgotten whereas the remaining of the "big four"aren't. They were sorta the odd man out, they were the only band oit of those to have a sense of humor in thir music, so I can see why but it's still a shame. Killer B's, the album with Bring the Noise, was one od my favorites when I was a kid and as stated in the video extremely important in the formation of the genre that took over metal for a number of years. Also, how about No Good (Attack the Radical) from Pantera's Vulgar Display of Power? Phil raps most of the verses And it's got an underlying typical hip hop/rap/damce beat to it. It's a song that nobody seems to remember and also a good example of how Pantera weren't undercover members of the KKK like some would say now just because Dime said a word once.
