Hi, I’m Carsten Emde
Hi there, I am the creator of the ASM Techbase KZread Channel which is focusing on ARCHICAD Speed Modeling. I used to teach ARCHICAD first in Switzerland, then I moved to Sydney Australia and worked for the main ARCHICAD reseller During this time I gave sales demonstration, user support and taught ARCHICAD to new customers.
Then I needed a new challenge, so I decided to do freelance work for many ARCHICAD users, focusing on 3D Visualisation, which has become my passion, hence the 3D modeling Tutorials on my KZread Channel ASM Techbase.
ASM Techbase shares ARCHICAD tutorials, Newsletter, quick tips for ARCHICAD users and architectural textures, surface containers. www.asmtechbase.com

it does not work when the curtain wall is facing down and the curtain wall is just facing up on ground floor plan with the magic wand tool? You did not explain how it really works when the beginner users face this problem.
If you follow the exact instructions, this is how you use a curtain wall to create a window library part. This is not about using the curtain wall it is how to create a window library part. I have many other videos explaining the curtain wall in more depth.
could you send me the archicad file with the complete model if that's possible, i have a structure real model to do due next week and i couldn't find any information about its dimensions.
The point of my tutorials is to learn Archicad modeling, hence I am not giving out models.
How can I apply this to a circular building rather than a flat one? I'm working on my graduation project, but I couldn't apply what was in the video to my circular building.I will be very happy if you help me. Thanks in advance
A round building is a lot harder to model the same way. You can try to still use the handrail option explained as a handrail does curve. Otherwise, your best option is to use the morph and shell tool. It really depends on the design you are after.
Could you kindly share the Archicad file
Could you kindly share the Archicad file
The point of my tutorials are to learn not to copy, hence I don't share files.

i do not have 3d shelf so i am lost right before 3d view. how do i get the volume instead of a line?
saved my archi: design project! final presentation in 2 days! my first time seeing this vid, the part you filed the holes with glass I was expecting you will copy/cut them from the duplicate you made and change them to glass and bring them to the original pavilion, well its good though. its another short cut!
Glad I could help!
It's wonderful. Thank you so much!🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You are welcome!

Location drag option not there..in 2023
Super, thank you very much! I have never used Archicad for conceptualization and form but it can be a powerful tool if you know how to use it.
Yes exactly! Thanks for watching.
🥰🥰🥰
Thanks!
Wow this great sir, thanks
Most welcome
That’s beautiful ❤❤
Many thanks!
Thank you very much for this webinar and for your opinion on the use of Direct Link or Datasmith, really interesting. It made me want to watch the first one that I missed: UI Insights and tips! Thanks.
Glad you started to use the recordings to watch some of the webinars you missed. I know people cannot always make it so that's what it is for :) Keep watching!
Yeahhh smart 🤟🤟🤟❤
Not too bad hey? Thanks!

👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Best archicad channel on KZread
You are too kind thanks!
Thank you, Super!!!
You are welcome!
how about those element that divides the dome to be perpendicular to the arch of the dome not parallel to the ground. Because in reality if you put those members suppose you use steel definitely you will attached them perpendicular to the arch. I hope you know what I mean. For graphics the dome is fine, but for constructions there will be adjustments.
I think I know what you mean and agree, many times in the design process we come up with ideas but then need solutions to actually build it. Thanks for your feedback.
very good , thank you
Thanks, that one was not easy to come up with a solution how model it in Archicad but this works.
Thanks
Glad you enjoyed this tutorial too.
So professionel, not even my teachers could help me do this!
Kind of funny and thanks!
thanks
No problem
You're my go-to for everything archicad. I really appreciate!

Thanks you are most wlcome
as far as i am concerned you are the best in Archicad
that is so kind many thanks, glad I can help.
cool
Glad you liked it!
can you make shapes with "SHELL" that are not symetric ?
Yes you just need to change from the revolve method to either the extruded or ruled shell option before you start modeling.
Fantastic! Great use of the tools.
Thanks, glad you liked it!
doesn't work in archicad 23 :(
Nevermind... it works. But you didn't explained it too well. First you pick the attributes from the old windows using ALT+click, then you open window settings and then you find the new window but do NOT click on it! Just hover your mouse pointer over it and hold CTRL+ALT and then you can inject by clicking. ARCHICAD 23* Thanks anyway!
Yes you are right! Hover is the key thanks for pointing this out.
Hello, I can't understand what do you do in 2:02 minute and after that you have a red spline
Hi, the red spline I created to use as a "cut" for the shell. You can see in the tutorial if you keep following it is quite easy to cut/shape the shell "along" the spline I created. I hope this helps.
Nice
Thanks
Thank you. It's really helpful.
you are welcome, glad it helped.
Hello, Thanks for sharing every nice projects, it is very useful. Just a small thing I want to share with you and everyone : To find a object (morph, slab, or any kind of it) from 3d to plan, I select the object in 3d and I hit shift +f2, and it's jump in plan whit the selected object clicked, then I can do whatever I suppose to do.... ❤❤🙏🙏
You are welcome and I love that tip, thanks for sharing!
you are de the best
Not sure about that but hey I take it thanks! :)
