    What a beautiful family you have mama! I loved your husbands response. Although giving birth in the car wasn’t ideal, you both handled it so well!! ♥️ I did the midwives brew with my second baby and it worked so well! Currently pregnant with my third and not afraid to do it again if I need to!

    Sadly did not work for me, 38 weeks 4 days. Drank it at 6 pm and felt some mild cramps like a period off and on and the next day came and went with no contractions. Really sad because I have induction in three days and I was just trying to go naturally.

    Drank this at 930 pm. By 10 pm as I was in a pregnancy magnesium bath I had begun having contractions. I did get sick to my stomach both ends but after that was over I was starting to visibly dialate and headed to the hospital by 11 pm. She was born in the midnight hour! I did have my first back labor (had three babies before this labor). I don’t know if that was because of her positioning or the drink. I am going to drink it again this month as I am full term with my next baby.

    A comment on castor oil. I used the midwife’s brew with my last baby and delivered on my own a day before induction. Not only did my baby girl not poop prematurely, but we were kept longer in the hospital because she took longer than 24 hours to poop. She had to be stimulated by a nurse before she had a bowel movement at 30 hours old, and it was tiny. But it counted.

  • @BrittanyKellyTV
    @BrittanyKellyTVАй бұрын

    Thanks for sharing! Similarly, my babies didn’t poop in the womb, during delivery or even shortly after delivery. It’s so interesting to me that there are so many different induction methods where women have had babies who passed meconium, yet it is never blamed on the induction method, excluding castor oil. It is always assumed to be unknown or unrelated. Seems like fear mongering to me. It’s great to hear real women share their real experiences so that we all can be more informed as we work with our providers for pregnancy and labor & delivery.

    After coming across this video and then watching several other videos about this brew, I decided to give it a try. My son was measuring small for almost all of this pregnancy and despite my history of birthing 2 other 6lb babies, the doctors were determined to induce me. Due date: 5/26 Induction date 5/16 On Monday 5/13, at 38 w 1 day, I requested a membrane sweep in desperate hopes to get this thing going on its own. I was induced with my first and I hated the experience. It was long and soooo painful!! Following the sweep I started feeling sporadic cramping but nothing to phone home about. Tuesday, I wasn’t feeling baby move. So, I went in for them to make sure he was okay. He was, but they insisted that since I was already there, I should just go ahead and start the induction process. That was a hard NO for me as I was still holding on to the hope of going into labor on my own. That night at midnight I drank the brew exactly as you made it. I waited up till 2 am to see if I would feel any contractions. I didn’t and went to bed a bit disappointed and feeling like it wasn’t going to work. 3:45 am- first bowel movement. Not runny, just… regular. 5:45 am- second bowel movement-runny. Now I’m upset because it didn’t work AND I have the runs. 6:50am, my water broke. Got in the shower as contractions started. Got the other two ready and off to school. Got to the hospital at 8:40am and the contractions were picking up fast. Got in the room at 10:30am. After the preliminary questioning, they checked me at about 11:15. I was 3cm. I could not figure out how that was possible as the contractions were starting to kick my butt! Got the epidural around 12ish. Long story short, baby was here at 3:18pm. The brew definitely worked!!!! Thank you, BK!!

    It’s true, the only time I’ve taken castor oil for the birth of my second baby he did pass meconium it’s real and very serious. Don’t do castor oil. They had to use the suction thing and keep a eye on the baby but he was healthy and fine.

  • @BrittanyKellyTV
    @BrittanyKellyTVАй бұрын

    It’s not true. Sorry that happened to you but the research shows that castor oil does not CAUSE babies to pass meconium. Most likely he would have passed meconium whether you took castor oil or not. Mothers who receive Pitocin for induction have had babies pass meconium but no one links Pitocin to causing babies passing meconium because the research doesn’t support that, and neither does it support castor oil as a cause. What does increase the chances of a baby passing meconium is gestational age, but it is relatively unknown as to why some babies pass meconium prior to birth. I have used it 4 times and all 4 times my babies did not pass meconium. Hundreds of women have told me that they took it and did not have a baby pass meconium. Then there is the scientific research that says it doesn’t cause it. It just isn’t linked. Meconium passing is serious, but linking it to various induction methods just isn’t scientifically or anecdotally sound.

    So i made this desperately last night. According to my doctor i was 40+6 days overdue. Scheduled for induction tomorrow! Don't want it. Went to acupuncture twice in the week after the due date but no sign of labor. Ran around to multiple stores for exact ingredients ! I didn't want any substitutes! Took concoction around 11pm baby born the next day at 12pm noon. Tmi i pooped like 5x with this thing. Not diarrhea but it cleared me out. About 7 hrs after taking it I also vomited. Just liquid. The brew didn't taste bad tho! Went from 5 cm to 9.5 dialated in a hour. Anyway it worked for me or either a coincidence 🤷🏿. But they say coincidences are just Gods way or remaining anonymous so it was his plan! Thanks for sharing your recipe

    So it worked for me I started it at 1 PM laid my baby down at two started contracting then They were mild until five then the intensity doubled. at 10:30 I could not take the pain anymore. My contractions was back to back. I had to go to the hospital got there at 11. They took forever to get me to the back so around 12 I got into the first room to check me and I dilated to a three( the day before I was 40 weeks I was not dialted at all) 🎉 I finally got to the delivery room at 1 they check me again and I was eight cm!! Got my epidural epidural and by 3 am he was out!!!! Thank you so much for this recipe. I did not want to be induced which I was the next day so I'm so happy this worked!!

    It worked. Did it at 39W+4d I drank it at 2pm went into labor at 6pm but unfortunately I was in labor for 17 hours and the pain was out of this world. Planned for an unmedicated birth but had to get the epidural. Pushed for 34 minutes. Did it work? Yes Would I do it again? Absolutely no My advice is If u are planning to do it I would recommend u wait until you know for sure you will be induced. If not just wait for baby to come when they are ready. I know those last couple of weeks suck but it will come before you know it.

I've been induced with Balloon past two pregnancies which was so uncomfortable and painful. I've been drinking Rasberry leaf tea past 4, 5 week's as well as Evening Primrose oil, which caused so much cramps and pain. This is my last shot tomorrow night. I made everything ready already. Fingers crossed Ill give birth on Friday 26/04/2024. Wish me luck ❤

I was so tired I slept I had just cramps and uncomfortable pain . At 6:15 went to toilet saw the bloody show and contractions started. Went to emergency water was leaking with blood membrance was gone . Just took some time to cervix to open up. But it happened so quick I gave birth at 8 pm 26/04 . Duration of birth 2 hours. I should mention though she put 2 Tablespoon of castor oil. I saw another video that someone else put 4. I put myself 4 as I've tried castor oil with orange juice last pregnancy it didn't do anything. So I need my body needs more than 2.

    Not in any case you will be able to induce labour by swallowing castor oil, for you will have to distinguish: - In the case that your liver will be without any toxins your gall will be without any toxins too. So, moving the bowels by taking a good dose castor oil will be experienced always as harmless and short lasting, for the PGE2-synthesis will not happen and so you will not be able to induce labor. - In the other case that after having swallowed a good dose castor oil a lot of toxins will be liberated in the liver and excreted with the gall in the duodenum the PGE2-synthesis will occur with cramps of the bowels and the womb, and this one may be experienced as harmful and long lasting and so you will be able to induce labor.

    I needed to come back to your video to share that IT WORKED FOR ME. (This is my second baby by the way. My first was an induction at 41 weeks) I had been having some painful contractions that would start at night for the last 3 days that would just fizzle out sometime in the middle of the night or early morning so my body I knew was ready... She just needed a little push to go into full blown labor Followed your recipe to the T and drank it in 2 minutes. I actually found it not unpleasant so was able to drink it fast. Drank it all by 11:52pm April 9th, got my first contraction by midnight April 10th, did have some diarrhea stools but for me that happens any way with contractions. By 1:23am my contractions were consisten 3 min and under. Waited 45 min and told hubby we gotta go to the hospital NOW. When we got to triage, I was at a 2 dilated, by 4 am was at a 3. Got admitted. Between the toilet and the birth ball I brought from home I labored down that baby until I felt an involuntary push and burning. I kept repeating the same thing over and over but the nurses were busy giving each other report. " I feel intense pressure down there and burning sensation." Finally I got checked at 7:13am and I was a 10 +3 station. Needles to say everyone huddled into the room VERY QUICKLY. My baby girl was born at 7:18am 40 weeks + 6 screaming with vigor. 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤ Thank you thank you THANK YOU
