    Gobert is a joke and only trying to hurt people and KAT followed in his paths! Good, that they are gone now! Dallas win in 6 in the finals!

    The Wolves spent so much of their mental stamina on "we're not getting swept" that they left nothing in the tank for this game.

    Great game and good analys as always .The Nuggets last two games had alwfull shooting procentenge from both 3pt and generally from the floor. Not want to blame anyone from the team but Porter JR. and KCP both missed far to many open 3pt. Murray is not looking healthy at all. Now to the winners impressive two games from both Kat and Ruddy i just hope KAT will be able to finish the playoffs and not succomes to injury and stays on the side line. It's team game and one thing Minesota adjusted for the last two game was let Joker score and try to pressure the rest of the team this made life difficult for Gordon who end up been guarded by Ruddy or Kat and Muray been under pressure from both guards from the Timberwolves .

    Congratulations to MTWs...they were the better team....the fact that the Nuggets stretched it to 7 games comes down to one factor....the MVP...Joker....yet even 1 man can't best everyone by himself; the TWs defense was that effective in this series, enough to shut down Jokers supporting cast....give them their flowers!

    I can't believe Melone didn't let Jokic rest when they were up, like at least 5 minutes man. Dude played 47 minutes and was getting worn out by KAT/RG/NAZ constantly. Also if MPJ or KCP are not hitting their shots it's ok to get other guys involved, we trusted CB to play more minutes and look how good the guy is playing. At the end of the game noone on Nuggets were moving and Jokic was left to just shoot last second 3pt's over and over again.

    The whole “they lost, they won the game” idea is silly. They make mistakes, the other takes advantage of those mistakes. It’s literally the definition motion of a game. Lol

    You know what’s silly? Calling something silly that you just agreed with. When you make mistakes and give the other team advantages that’s losing the game by your own actions not by the other teams’ actions. You weren’t outplayed or out planned just your mistakes were too much to overcome. You literally just said that with your sentence

    the thing with dpoy vs mvp in this situation is that gobertlooks without a plan: he doesn't fight for position, he does't throw different looks and most importantly is a liability on the other half of the floor. Jokic basically plays half the court and you have him fresh on the offensive end. Gobert has no gameplan and having Jokic DRIVE from the 3pt line is the epitome of stupidity imo: how can you allow that, have him shoot a 3 and box out. I think he's extremely overrated. Sidenote... how he is ignored into oblivion by his teammates as he rolls to the rim is quite exhilarating lol

    I still vehemently disagree that in games 3/4 the TWolves lost the game more than the Nuggets won them. Those losses finally woke up the real Nuggets team. Even though they beat the Lakers in 5, the Nuggets seemed sloppy the entire series. Not playing to their full potential. Those two losses against the Wolves made them realize they couldn’t just continue to sleepwalk through teams. The Timberwolves at their best, playing their best defense, still wouldn’t be able to keep up with a Nuggets team at their best.

  • @wmackeyjr242
    @wmackeyjr24216 күн бұрын

    I respect that but I’ll say I think I said that because their entire defensive plan changed and they went away from the suffocating defensive plan they had in the first two games that had people wondering if they finally figured out a team nobody could’ve ever figured out.

    Would like to know where you rate this playoff win performance in the pantheons you have seen as a former player of Jokić last night? Jokić is Him! This cat about to be in the top 10 ever when he goes BTB without another all star on the team.

    What’s crazy is for me it would’ve been a regular playoff performance for him but because he had 0 turnovers with I think 13 assists when their plan was to stop him from play making is crazy 😂 It’s gotta be top 5 but he has too many great playoff performances I can think of about 5 off the top of my head from just the past Lakers series 😂

    Here is something that still blows my mind: These are the career leaders in three advanced metrics: PER - 1. M. Jordan 27.91 2. L. James 27. 06 3. A. Davis 26.84 4. S. O'neal 26.43 5. D. Robinson 26.18 Box Plus/Minus - 1. M. Jordan 9.21 2. L. James 8.65 3. M. Johnson 7.54 4. D. Robinson 7.47 5. C. Paul 6.90 WS/48 - 1. M. Jordan .2505 2. D. Robinson .2502 3. W. Chamberlain .2480 4. N. Johnston .2413 5. C. Paul .2320 Except I'm lying.... Jokic is #1 all time over all these guys in all three categories. He's at 28.08 in PER, 9.92 in BPM, and .2541 in WS/48. Thats INCREDIBLE.

    Big Denver fan here again! I feel like you're too hard on Gobert.. the poor guy tried his best. Most of the shots that Jokic scored on Gobert in pure 1v1 iso (without any screening action that affected Rudy directly) were strongly contested. Jokic was absolutely ridiculous with his shot making in this game. I think the timbs defense as a collective was more to blame than Gobert by himself. Also, Ant's gassed and the rest is not enough offensively to outweigh the almost perfectly balanced nuggets team. I think this one broke the spirit whole Minnesota as a city... and for me, it's more likely than not that Denver will streak sweep them in the next game.

  • @wmackeyjr242
    @wmackeyjr24216 күн бұрын

    That’s the thing he is the DPOY so he doesn’t get brownie points for “highly contested effort” nahhh that’s gotta translate into stops, rebounds, steals or blocks.. those are the metrics you look at defensively. I know he’s going up against the best player out right now but still man

  • @Solimci
    @Solimci15 күн бұрын

    @@wmackeyjr242 Rudy didn't choose to be DPOY lol. I think there has to be an exception for Jokic when talking about defending. BUT I'm completely with you saying that IF someone makes it hard(er than that) for him, it should be the DPOY.

    Great video man, once again. Jokic is simply amazing. If Jokic wins another championship this year, this series is going to be a cornerstone series whenever future conversations happen about Jokic's all time ranking. If he pulls this off and wins this series performing like this, its the kind of thing that only 5-10 dudes have ever been able to do. I know that's a super aggressive thing to say about a 29 year old, but that's how I legitimately feel. I think he's a top 10 player of all time, and has a chance to be the greatest Center who ever lived if he plays long enough.

  • @wmackeyjr242
    @wmackeyjr24216 күн бұрын

    I mean the biggest adjustment was having Jokic and Gordon bring the ball up. The wolves can’t full pressure them with their bigs cause they are more slow footed than Denver’s bigs and if you have smaller players pick them up full court then you end up cross matched when nuggets get the ball over half court. The wolves main gameplan was to pick Murray up full court and hope the refs don’t call fouls when you are extra physical with him. The biggest difference from game 1 and 2 until now though is that Murray looks a lot healthier. Especially in game 3 and 4. Also tbh Denver slept walk through the first round and first two games. 🤷‍♂️

    Well, if you can find a way to keep Jokic out of the paint, you will be the first. It's real easy to say to keep him out, but what is Gobert supposed to do? Jokic is clearly the strongest player in the NBA and he has the best footwork of any big man. Please explain this technique you speak of.

  • @wmackeyjr242
    @wmackeyjr24216 күн бұрын

    The technique is to meet Jokic with a lot of contact higher on the floor to push him in the direction you want him to go and not get buried under the basket like he was allowing him to do. It’s using your hands legally to let him to get easy back downs. With the right base with your legs and defensive techniques to be aware of spins and counters you can make it a lot harder than what we saw Rudy do. I’m not expert but done it a few times

    (8:10) Yeah that was a big moment so early in the game. Coach Michael Malone lost his shit after that elbow by "Go Brrr", got a T, and shortly afterwards the Wolves got called for 3 consecutive charges in a row, lol

  • @metroidplayer2
    @metroidplayer217 күн бұрын

    The adjustments I see, as a non pro ball player, are they started setting screens much earlier in the offensive possession to give the ball bringer a chance to push the ball forward. On top of that, like the nuggets did last night against ANT, is what they were doing to Murray in the first 2 games. So, we avoid having Murray bring the ball up so they dont have that insane pressure for the full court anymore. I know for sure that the Wolves are going to adjust for the pressure like we did...but with Jokic completely embarrassing the 4 time DPOY and the wolves having no real shot of slowing down Jokic, this series is wraps. I say nuggets end it in game 6. They are on fire right now
