    Hi, I’m just wondering where you have your camera mounted, is it just on your chin with a chin strap? Great videos, well done!

    Hi Mark, I had the drift cam mounted on the side of my helmet with a bit of 3M velcro, the strong type used for hanging large pictures. It holds the cam securely but I can pull it off easily too when I dont want it or remount it quickly on the other side of the helmet depending on the scenery. This system works well on some helmets but not all..

    The Ring of Beara would always be my 1st choice, far less traffic, more scenic, and more enjoyable then the Ring of Kerry or Dingle Peninsula. It's a good 6 hour ride-out but it's one of the best, if not the best rides you'll get in Ireland. Most of the guys using my routes would say Beara was the highlight of their tour ;) maps.app.goo.gl/jtdiu23a4QVzMUM29

    If you get good weather you wont regret it, I've a video of Beara here - ( kzread.info/dash/bejne/gJmNl9OOXZS3osY.html ) Aim to stop for lunch/dinner at Helen's Bar at Kilmackkillogue Pier, when in season you can get a bowl of the best (Kenmare Bay) muscles in Europe there while sitting on the pier, it's a stunningly beautiful place and famous with local bikers. Another good place to get lunch is at Dursey Island cable car at the very end of the peninsula, in summer there's a chip van selling local fresh caught fish/crab/lobster&chips, great views there too - maps.app.goo.gl/5pYDMybGW5s9MRwE8

    @@RoadTrooper So sorry to hear, your choice of music and editing was fantastic from an original early bike video creator. I noticed change in sound tracks of later videos, didn’t enjoy soundtrack and muted. Much to my regret lots of your wonderful videos have been deleted from my saved folder by the KZread police. Can’t stand the asinine wittering comments of most bike vloggers but I suppose they have no alternatives.

    @@jeanjacques9980 Yep, the YT police got so bad it was nearly impossibly to continue the format of matching good music to a ride video. A video might work for a month, or even a year or two until the sound track rights were bought by a big music company then my video would get hit with a copyright complaint. That's why I don't make videos anymore, it's way too much trouble, and talking sh$t over a vid just to bypass the soundtrack copyright issue is not for me. Most bike/ride vloggers just put me to sleep and many of the better ones got banned altogether for saying something the police didn't like. Even the right of free speech is dead. YT is just a platform for selling ads or pushing Gov sponsored brainwashing these days..

But making the vids took a huge amount of time and I stopped when I retired from the tour guide gig at the start of the lockdowns. • @RoadTrooper
    @RoadTrooper2 жыл бұрын

    If you are hiking yes, but not by road. You can ride into the Black Valley and Lough Gummeenduff itself from the Gap of Dunloe or Molls Gap but it's a dead end as it stops at the entrance to a farm which is obviously private land, but there's a hiking trail through the farm, part of the Kerry Way i think. Its worth riding up to the farm gate though as the views by the lake are pure magic. There is another route from Ballaghisheen via the Ballaghbeama pass which is defo not to be missed. From Ballaghbeama you ride through real pretty overgrown and rough boreen via Top Cross that runs parallel to the Black Valley where you can hook around to the BV, it's not for novices though. I'd ride this route easily enough on my 800GS but probably not on my 1200GSA.. goo.gl/maps/MytqpN6WdQsJJLwn7
