I wanted David to know I grew up in an atmosphere of feeling life was beyond hard. We spend our adulthood trying to subconsciously resolve the unfinished business of our childhood. We constantly reflect on the world and back onto ourselves at the frequency we were raised knowing and perceiving this as reality. I'm a teacher, and when David said Jen could learn while reading his studies to him; that's the key. David needs to teach what he wants to learn. It works like magic because you changed roles. I always froze up during math tests. My brain doesn't recognize what I had crammed hard for when time tested on math problems. I didn't realize my brain can't function on fear frequency.

I so enjoyed the medical discussion. Some of the banter regarding your husband I found uncomfortable. It reminded me of my late hubby getting together with a guy friend and suddenly I was under attack. Probably doesn’t bug your hubby but it brought back bad feelings for me. Again, I really love your content. You are so inspiring and caring and have a true talent for distilling info into practical advice.

Hey Andrew. First, thank you. Thank you for making science available, clear, and enjoyable again for those of us who have an interest in it. As a diagnose adhd at 36 adult, your teachings have really changed my view of most everything and reinforced those I've always known to be true. Sunlight, sauna, outdoor time etc. So again, all my gratitude and thanks to you and your team. I have a serious question about weed to do with rem sleep. Similar to your advocation to caffeine before a work out, those of us who work out high would advocate for that. I get a better work out high than not. Better in that I'm focused on my muscle groups etc and am able to rationalise that this is worth the effort. So my question, is there a time of day that we should put the weed down like there is for caffeine so it doesn't affect our rem sleep? Or is it an all or nothing kind of thing? Thanks again. I really do appreciate you and your team and all their efforts. Thank you thank you thank you

One exercise incorporates nearly everything recommended on this podcast. With the toes slayed out grabbing the ground you elongate your posture to stretch the spine. Pressing the head up to the sky while dropping the pelvic floor to create elongated spine. The tongue is pressed upward between the soft and hard pallet and the breath is centered in the lower abdomen filling like a tire being inflated. All this is done with Qi Gong

@17:38 about that cortisol spåike in the middle of the night. I always have glutamine (1 tsp) dissolved in water (2 dl) ready by my bed, to drink if/whenever I wake up at 2-3 AM due to that cortisol spike. I usually also take another magnesium (2 before bed) and sometimes an ibuprofen (as I have old sportsinjuries). In about 15-20 minutes I feel completely relaxed and fall back into deep sleep, feeling very well rested in the morning. When I don't take that glutamine water, the sleep quality is horrible and the next day is a hellish struggle. For me, no relaxation techniques, breathing, or other protocols fixes the cortisol spike. Daytime I use instant intense resistant training wherever I am (pushups, dips, pullups, squats etc - the "exercise snacks" Huberman talked about) to burn off those cortisol spikes. Living up north I have to use SAD-light (20000lux, 20 cm from my face) in the mornings wintertime when I do morning workout (20-45min) on my stationary bike (listening/watching to the morning news). All year round I have no bright lights on after 7PM turn all screens to lowest light settings, with only a very dim red light and candles. Blackout curtains in my bedroom a must (we have "midnightsun" in the summers). You guys sharing these research-based protocols radically improves the life quality of many people, me included. Thank You for that! My three pillars constantly needed to uphold a balanced life: good quality in sleep (8h), in food (no sugars processed or starches) and in exercise (5/week).

Hello sir, I am watching this video in 2024, and i am so glad I watched it, and I understood each and everything you told. But still I have a little confusion about "Creativity', as I am in creative field and I have tried method you told, but it helps with learning not creativity that much, and if it works I might be doing something wrong. Can you please clear this doubt for me? P.S.- I am your big fan, I admire you a lot.

When I wake up at about 2-3 am due to high cortisol, I always take glutamine mixed in water to lower my cortisol, another magnesium and sometimes an ibuprofen. On about 15-20 minutes I feel my body relaxing and going back to sleep. If I don't do this, my sleep quality will be terrible and the following day a hellish struggle. I'd appreciate science based comments or educated guesses to my protocol.

Just wonderful Series we all need to understand this! This whole time I have a question: what happens to us mothers those few years while we have babies and small children, little sleep, little rest, lots of emotions, they don‘t say moms brain for nothing. I know I was a wrack 😅. I wish I knew all this Information back then maybe I could of made a few ajustments but a I still think that period leaves some „scars“ on us moms. Would be nice to make an episode for us ❤. Thanks one more time for all the good you do in this world!
