    Hi Cary! Pretty cool video. My visit of Bryce Canyon NP was more than 20 years ago! It was out of this world! It changed the way to look at US National Parks. Zion National Park footage? Any plan for John Muir Trail? That is a must :-)

    🔥Bro, nice job and thanks for your great work. BTW, two composition at 1:40 and 1:41 are insane... how do you do that... like just put your tripod miles away? ( I guess that's not by drone coz like drone are not permitted to fly in national park, so also wonder how many camera batteries you used to use per day?)

  • @CaryMercer
    @CaryMercerАй бұрын

    Hey! I really appreciate that. Both the shots at 1:15 and 1:41 took about ten minutes. Tripod shots with the lens at 75mm. Maybe 1/2 mile total both directions. That first day was a challenging day.

    Fantastic video, very informative with a great balance between info and shots to keep us engaged. My girlfriend and I and planning to do this trail in afew weeks, although my girlfriend is not so experienced in over night hiking to make this achievable i would like to break it up into some smaller sections. If we were to skip the Kosovo section and re supply in the towns how many days food / water would you recommend carrying? and also how much did your pack weigh?

  • @CaryMercer
    @CaryMercerАй бұрын

    Hi! Thank you for the nice comment. I appreciate it. I really should weigh my pack sometime before starting one of these hikes, but I think it likely weighs around 30 pounds. There are guesthouses along the way where you can buy food. I resupplied once in Plav at a market. I would suggest bringing a water filter, so that you don't have to carry that much water. Probably best to bring enough food for three days, and resupply when you can.

    Thanks for the informative video Cary, really appreciate it! I'm looking at doing this trek like you; wild camping with a few guesthouse stays here and there. Thanks again!
