Hiking the Peaks of the Balkans Trail
Hey guys, between September 27th and October 4th of 2023, I hiked the transnational hiking trail called the Peaks of the Balkans, which passes through Albania, Kosovo, and Montenegro. This video is a silent hiking video showing my experience on trail, hopefully in a relaxing, peaceful, and uplifting manner. Thanks for watching.

I've been there for 1 day last year. Wish I could've stayed longer and if I'd have known about this place earlier I definittely would have done so.

The Peaks of the Balkans trail is one of my favorites so far. The local people are wonderful, the local food from the guesthouses is amazing, and the scenery is spectacular. Hope you get back to this area one day.

Nice video that reminds me of my own tour there, as part of the Via Dinarica. I have been to many of the places filmed and it was beautiful. Not as lonely as it looks in the video, though. Maja Jezerce was full of climbers, and it's not the highest point in Albania, that would be Korab, on the Macedonian border. But Maja is more challenging than Korab, which is an easy hike. Swimming in the lake after the summit was so wonderful, the water is much warmer than in the mountain lakes in the Alps. Good luck with your channel!

Hi! Thanks for watching and leaving your comment. I appreciate the info on Maja Jezerce. It was a challenging last day hiking up to the top, back down to pack my tent, and then hike to Theth. It was a fun day in the mountains and I would do it all again. Thank you for the well wishes for my channel. Many more hikes to show in the future hopefully.

Hi! Saw your gear list and wanted to ask, if you can only bring 1 lens, would you bring the sony 16-35mm or the tamron 28-75 for your hikes?

Hi! When I bring both on my long hikes, I end up mostly using the 16-35. I think I shoot mostly around 16-20mm. Thank you for your question. :-) Take care.
