I do agree that filipinos specifically from mainland and America are very zesty/girly especially boys this current generation. They post themselves online and follow a bunch of other girls

You're all in BGC. That's the Singapore of the Philippines. Of course, most people there are not as hospitable as in the provinces as they live in condominiums in BGC.

Now you know how we feel when we move into different countries somewhat by forced of by any reasons.. we Filipinos aren’t necessarily feeling blended in, unless one is born in that foreign country.. it can get lonely.

Ahhh yes brain drain, many skilled Filipinos leave to seek better wages and opportunity in other countries and also better working conditions.

the guy gets it. its not about looking at foreigners a s superior, its a culture where its normal to shower our guest with a warm welcome. even if the guest is also a Filipino, expect to receive a special treatment- you will be served with best bedsheets for you to sleep on, new plates, new sets of spoon and fork, the new tablecloth etc. Thats just how we are wired.

I relate to what you say when you just started drifting apart from others like you dont really feel or have that connection. Like you're friends but not deeper. I always feel that way, it feels like I have my own world and sucks sometimes ngl.

Them, being unfriendly where they come from, came into a friendly country and saw the culture as a weakness because they are bringing the unfriendliness with them and thats how they think that wherever they go that its going to be the same... its in the mindset.

Even if most Filipinos are really good in english I suggest learn the local language even a little bit, it helps a lot connecting to people. A simple "Salamat" in your daily lives , a lot of Pinoys will appreciate it. Add "po" for maximum effect 😂

New subscriber here. I like this new (well for me it's new) way of showing a country to the world. Usually, it's more about superficial things like food, language, dating, exchange rates, etc. But you've tackled on a deeper topic that makes me think and reflect. I definitely like this, and I hope to see more of this type of video.

“Don't mistake my kindness for weakness, I'm kind to everyone, but when someone is unkind to me,weak is not what you are going to remember about me.” We Filipinos don't see foreigners higher than us. We are just respectful.

that's definitely your POV. Your reality is not the reality of many Filipinos. the reason why these foreign influencers visiting the PH are getting more views, music reactors getting more views when reacting to Morisette and many Filipino content is definitely that. Go through these videos' comment sections and the Filipinos seeking validation from foreigners is evident and then come back here and tell me that Filipinos don't think highly of foreigners.

this is such a cool take/perspective. I grew up in the Philippines but I am at the age where I have spent more time now outside of it and looking back, I am still holding on the friendships I have made back then but when I do the math, I've only known them for 2 years and friends I made abroad I've known for more than 15 and I'd say 4/5 I am closer to those back at home.

See in girl mentality she still think being white is outstanding among us. That is totally wrong mindsets, this kind of mentality is a white supremacy, white people think they are the best people of race God created. In Philippines you should set aside this kind of garbage mentality because we have called bayanihan spirit meaning helping one another in need, do not under estimate Filipino bayanihan spirit, once you are in need Filipino will first to help you.i give you one example of foreign girl who adopt Filipino cultures. Island barbie of siargao, Filipino treat her like one of them and she is very happy and develop friendship with her, she become instant celebrity in Philippines and we support her.

Some foreigners are discriminate filipinos. We are most of the time misunderstood by foreigners but try to ge a Filipino friends even their house will open to you to stay. Foreigners attitudes and pride sometimes stopping them from developing friendships with locals Filipino, Filipinos generally shy to open up conversations. I suggest just to be friendly approach the locals remove your racial discrimination, remove the pride be universal citizens of the world, I guarantee you foreigners Filipino will support you. Filipino will love you. In Philippines we are all equal, no whites, black, chines, Koreans or Japanese, enjoy being citizens of the world. Welcome you all to my underrated Philippines
