Back to one of your videos lol. Got some apex wheels for my base 500 and would like to flush the fronts a bit more with the fender. Due to the hub centric lip on the hub, my spacer options are 5MM or 10 or so and above. To use 12Mm and clear the hub’s centric lip, I know I need extended studs. ( which would look great ). Do you think 12MM spacers and CFTP studs would be enough? Thanks in advice Tim!

You’ll have to do the math Badger. It’s been a few years since I did this. You need to have sufficient threads remaining (lug nut turns). I don’t recall the number… maybe 9…? We have 150 lb ft on the nuts. Don’t short yourself.

@@ShelbyFlyer yea I saw some of the stuff you and the others guys posted on the Forums and I think using CFTP rear studs might be the way to go. They’re approximately 17MM longer than the base front studs, so 17-15 (using 15MM spacer) leaves me with 2MM extra of turns, just gotta make sure the lug nut doesn’t bottom out but it should be fine. Appreciate it man!

I have a 2021 GT500 and am looking to jack it up to remove the wheels for a complete detail. Are you jacking on the pinch welds with an adapter? If so, which brand are you using?

Yes, I lift from the designated lift points on the pinch welds. I have 3 different types of pinch weld pucks that I use on my various Mustangs. Just search Amazon or eBay. There will be many options.

Curious what you thought of this track. I was there couple weekends ago and ran a 2:49:9 for my first time there. I honestly didn't really like it. Almost too much elevation upsetting the car all the time. Way too many barriers with no run offs in the important areas. No water drainage so parts of the track are wet the entire day. It was awful towing there as well. Don't really have any desire to go back.

Years later.... #TeamSvT did it better 11/12 13/14 gt500's are monsters while the 2020 may have more hp and tech the older modular engines have better tq and weigh less playing around in the same hp ballpark Svt will do it everytime

Both GT500 generations are great cars! Having now spent 4 years in the new one with trips down the drag strip and tons of time at road course tracks, I’ll say the 20-22 is a beast that is good at everything.

Thats mean the best intake syatem for 2020+ GT500 is Livernoise , because they use carbon fiber 5 inch smooth tube with stock factory box , which similar to VMP system , suck the air through Ram Air only . Did you agree ?

Haven’t tried that one. I’m happy with the VMP unit. I have their Apex Predator supercharger lid and upgraded intercooler brick as well. They all work great together! 🤟🏎️

As much as I like to think Ford does a great amount of torture testing, I doubt they put tens of thousands of track miles on them like you do 😂

Thats not showing full rich, 20 is full lean. Or 2.00. Thats just what happens when you let off the gas. The car will go full lean so it doesnt backfire and pop as the revs come down. You really need to get an HP Tuners setup so you can log the car in real time. The dealers are just parts swappers. Get an MPVI3 from Hp Tuners and get VCM scanner and a laptop. Then you will really know whats going on. Not this dealer guess and swap thing they do.

Nice video. I'm sure that it will help some other people with the same issue. One point of clarification. For air fuel ratios, a higher number is leaner, not richer. So when you see the gauge going up to 20, that is full lean, not full rich. This makes perfect sense for a misfire from a bad coil wire, because if there is no spark to light the fuel then the exhaust will be full of unburned oxygen which the oxygen sensor will report as lean. Also, to protect the catalysts for warranty the PCM will reduce power and lean the fuel when it detects a misfire to protect the cats from having raw fuel light off inside the cat and melt it.

Very frustrating trying to locate and diagnose electrical gremlins, especially when sensitive computers are also involved .... sure glad your technician got it figured out. I can say that intermittent issues can cause you to lose your mind trying to find them. Unfortunately, patience from people with the issues is rarely found. Wiring/pin issues have to be traced out. Having Carey do the work is a smart move, as I worked with him. He knows where to look and I trust him totally when it comes to my own car. If I need him, I know where to find him.

What a terrific sounding lap. That car is just heavy, and looks/feels it all the way around. Top speeds at end of straights seemed good, just cannot cheat physics on those slow turns....

Bit too much braking going into turn 9. Look for the entry point to the track on the left, and hard brush brakes, and then turn. It will automatically wash out to the left as you get back on power.

I will never understand why do people buy single wheel 350 when they drive like a Lamborghini and the dullay is twice as safe because of the dulls because if you blow a rear tire pulling a heavy load you could lose control and crash and burn and as you can tell Iam a dullay guy and I just love my 4 door long bed dullay and I have never found a drive threw that I could not go threw the worst one is a back they are tight but I just drive right threw them .

Underinflated tire. The Mustang should be about 33psi, imo you are running too low a pressure causing the tire to warp, the bubbling is happening in the same way drag radials deform when launching as they are made for that.

I will never understand why do people buy single wheel 350 when they drive like a Lamborghini and the dullay is twice as safe because of the dulls because if you blow a rear tire pulling a heavy load you could lose control and crash and burn and as you can tell Iam a dullay guy and I just love my 4 door long bed dullay and I have never found a drive threw that I could not go threw the worst one is a back they are tight but I just drive right threw them .
How about a large rubber mat from an older model that would cover the entire floor with the rubber mat.

Have you had any issues with the pressure seals and heat or has it just been the dust boots?
Just the dust boots, but I have a few sets of brake calipers that I have had on the car.
Underinflated tire. The Mustang should be about 33psi, imo you are running too low a pressure causing the tire to warp, the bubbling is happening in the same way drag radials deform when launching as they are made for that.
