    If one prefers to use a TV rather then the monitor provided, do the vendors of these bikes offer and app and/or plug in (Ethernet) with all the same features? I’m wondering if the resistance can be controlled by the instructor and all the same metrics seen

    Have you water fasted before, and if so, how did it compare? Did you lose strength from this?

  • @Learnwithtravis

    I have done 3 day water fasts before. For me, this kit made it a lot easier. You still know you are "fasting", but it is much more manageable and easier to get through. You are also nourishing your body with a lot of quality ingredients so you are sort of enhancing the experience or results in some ways. I personally think there is value in both. If you think you can jump straight to water fast, it is most definitely an option. But if you wanted something less extreme but still very good for you, this could be that option and a water fast could be the next step. Hope that makes sense.

    Product is to expensive for what it is. When you can go to Walmart and get the same exact ingredients in a meal supplement for cheaper. The flavors are limited and the after taste is terrible enough that I threw out 6 unopened bags of different flavors. I hope the product works for somebody but for that price just buy a salad and grilled chicken it'll be cheaper and taste better

    Hey Travis. A couple questions if you have a moment. Would you recommend purchasing the peloton second hand like off of Facebook market place or would you go through peloton and get a refurbished one? Also, can you you ride it with without the screen attached to the bike if you wanted to cast it to a larger screen (if that makes sense)?

  • @Learnwithtravis
    @Learnwithtravis3 күн бұрын

    Just got back from a camping trip in the smokey mountains where connectivity was limited. I would fully test the bike before purchasing but would not worry about buying second-hand. So many people buy exercise equipment and then fail to stick to it. So, I personally believe there are plenty of legit options out there. I would ride it will changing the resistance. Verify the numbers on-screen change accordingly, the resistance changes, the motor seems to move the resistance correctly, and the screen overall works well. To cast, you would need the screen attached as that is where that functionality comes from. Hope that helps!

    I have owned a tonal for about 4 years now and there are several features not covered here . Tonal includes weight assessment at the beginning which will set your recommended weight for all exercises no guess work and a lot safer for beginners They also have a feature to connect to your watch/phone to tonal and see calories heart rate etc to help you with your workouts Tonal has a camera that can be connected to your phone and using the camera they can give you live feedback on your posture like a live trainer would I love the programs and work out videos because they are not just motivational the give you pointers on how to safely do the workout as well as where you should be dealing the burn and how to correctly do these exercises. I wouldn't trade my tonal for any of these new machines.❤

    You are not alone at all! Trust me when I say I know how scary this is. Mine were usually at their worst when I laid down which made going to bed nerve-wrecking. My first experience with surgery did not go well, but for the second I went to a very well regarded program and they fixed me right up. I am glad you know what this is so you can start getting the help you need. Side note, when I was have really bad episodes, I found that doing cardio was helpful. How have things turned out since this video? Thanks so much for posting. I've had to live with massive amounts of PVCs on and off for 30 years now. I had an ablation for RVOT tachycardia in 2002 and the PVCs went berserk for years afterwards. On my health plan, Kaiser, they don't ablate for PVCs (not considering them dangerous). They don't seem to realize how awful they can be and to what extent they affect our lives. Mine disappeared for quite a while, only to resurface, but only for a week or so at a time. They're totally unpredictable. I had another ablation for A-fib in January and guess what....they returned with a vengeance a week after the procedure, and I've been dealing with them every day and night. Always worse at night when I'm horizontal, trying to sleep. Then they REALLY pound! Anyway, let us know if you've found some relief. Thanks!

  • @Learnwithtravis
    @Learnwithtravis24 күн бұрын

    My situation was actually pretty close to yours. My PVCs were on the extreme side often reaching 50 percent of my heartbeats. When this would happen, I felt terrible. So I very much sympathize with you for how bad and scary that experience is. Mine almost always were far worse when I laid down. It made me hate going to bed. After my first surgery, I actually felt like it got much worse. I tried a lot of lifestyle and diet changes but nothing really helped. Like you, sometimes it would go away and I thought I had figured it out, but then they would come back with a vengeance. Ultimately, I ended up getting a second ablation at UofM. Crazy how next level every step of this process was compared to my first surgery. I came out of surgery, they said they were confident they got it, and I have been so much better since. I continued to have a pounding heartbeat for a while but that faded over time. I don't know where you live, but opting for a top level program might be worth it. It was amazing to see how much different the exact same operation transpired. Either way, I hope you are able to get this resolved. It is horrible situation to be in. But hopefully, my story gives you some optimism that you can beat this. Best of luck!

    Lumen is a great idea but it was not executed well regarding the design of the app, primarily. The app is necessary and it does req a pay subscription. The app is too time consuming and lacks user friendly features! You have to log foods and activities manually and even saving a recipe seems impossible. Using the macros has a steep learning curve. It is this poor design that results in eating more processed foods because they are easiest to log. Overall, the app is too complicated and time consuming to use consistently.

    @@Learnwithtravis I enjoy it very much. Eventually they will put out a V-Frame to allow you to do pulldown movements, but with nearly 25 years of lifting experience, I can modify exercises to hit my entire back. The only thing that truly bothers me is that after my subscription expires, I would lose access to the weight tracking and classes. I usually build my own workouts, so the loss of training classes doesn't bother me, but my wife really likes them. I have documented progression in notebooks for a long time, so it remains to be seen how much I miss the app doing it for me. I know it is a deal breaker for some. Part of me wants to go ahead and spring for the lifetime membership ($1100) after expiration. I will make that decision in a few months. Sorry for the long drawn out post

    Great review! I’ve got a Peloton-centric gym with the Rower, Bike+, and Tread+. I recently sold my Peloton Tread to make room for the Tread+. I don’t have the guide, nor the need for it, but I use Peloton from my Fire Stick so I can do strength exercises while keeping track of the metrics. The content is the selling point for me. Yes, the equipment and the subscription are pricey, but I view it as an investment and what I do with my money is my choice (as it is for anyone else). I use it daily and have for the last 3 years. For the amount of use I put in, I’m actually getting a great deal. Bottom line, any user should find what’s best for them and get what makes them comfortable. For me, it’s Peloton. For others, it may not be. The content has since changed, so your wish to use Netflix and KZread while working out is now granted.

    That is one way to look at it. While I don't agree with the price, a lot of functionality subscription-based devices provide, and on-going improvements comes at a cost. If you don't want a "smart" gym option, get a rack system that is what it is. Nothing wrong with that at all and they are great options. But "Smart" does have a cost to maintain.
