So 4yrs in, are you still happy with the 602, and recommend it? I am considering 602 or 741 (60cm vs 75 cm blade). Pft ;-)

Cuando usa la Makita apaga el motor para genrar la sensación de que la sierra no tiene poder, en cambio con la otra y deja oprimido el interruptor para mostrar que trabaja de manera superior.

That definitely wasn’t a Fair Cut Comparison, thinner cuts, pushing was also unequal. Come on brother, keep it real.

We have the 36v and the 40v , absolutely great saws , the safety button is not an issue once you get used to it , as you pick the saw up you automatically turn it on. The only saws we have that never leak one drop of chain oil . They are cheap too .

I was running this saw for about 2 hours at about a 30-50% duty cycle kzread.infoUgkxfQm1wmg0ItKDLavxj1nXtQY9HP7EF504 and it did a great job. I used the lever for the built in sharpener to clear chip buildup out more than to actually sharpen the chain. It managed to cut some hardwood stumps much larger than it's size without bothering the neighbors with hours of 2 stroke noise.

Iam just having a bad experience with my superb makita chain saw mines got the back handle and its a fantastic tool to keep in the van except I was using it on a wet day and water got in a small hole in the rubber on off switch and although I dried it right out no good. I've now had it looked at and told the on off button needs replacing at a cost of £192 for the part and £70to fit so apart from the disbaleaf of the repair costing more than it cost to buy iam gutted a 14 month old tool just aswel be ditched so please be aware of this when buying one.

Small minor default on the makita duc 306 are the fragile metal protection plates that are ment to protect the plastic from the incoming chain. Mine were broke/deformed quite fast. For the rest excellent machine.

Picked up the 36v string trimmer (the 2 handle one), and the 36v hedge trimmer. After using my 36v chain saw for a year - I’m super impressed with the dual LXT range.
