Nici nu știu dacă în ultimii ani a fost montată pe vreuna din scenele europene ! Și cred ca este o premieră cu aria cântată de domnia voastră. Minunat !

Can’t even operatic baritones and basses portray feminine characters without making it a comic circus show? And the audience loves this pathetic concept! If the culture was better, then maybe stage directors would treat the only feminine character for this voice type better. Seriously Madre Agatha deserves so much better… They can instead laugh at her bitchiness and her Neapolitan nationality, instead, but not her womanhood and baritone voice. I just hate this culture, which is just as bad in musical theatre as in opera

L'art consommé de l'Opéra de Paris de choisir un metteur en scène sans le moindre talent et surtout décidée à massacrer une oeuvre magistrale du genre de l'operette, histoire de se donner l'illusion d'apporter quelque chose à une oeuvre avec la vulgarité du monde du spectacle actuel. Cette opérette que cela plaise ou non doit être montée avec le faste de l'époque de la Vienne du XIXe siècle. Mme Coline Serreau a tout à apprendre, de la première mesure à la dernière et sans doute ferait bien de s'abstenir de s'attaquer au genre lyrique.

I am really sorry that you didn’t like our production. As you probably know, we the singers, are only the voices and we can’t decide much about what and how it’s happening. On the other hand, the mics were for Audio CD recording purposes, which was made by one company. The video what you have seen, was made by another company, using their own mics in the hall. I know it is not much of a consolation, but we the singers, we try to deliver at the best of our knowledge and power. Anyway, I thank you for your feedback. Sincerely, Marian Pop

Cu atât mai mult ca și astăzi trezește încă anumite sentimente superstițioase! Și poate pe bună dreptate! Căci forța destinului a fost este și va fi prezentă. I really liked it, superb performances by the singers and the orchestra. It's just a bit weird that, especially the first act, was staged like a grand opera from the classical period. Also with it being fully in German but for a French audience it surely might have been a bit confusing. But ultimately the great performances all made up for it 👏👏

Rigoletto è un ooera di estrema bellezza in fatto di musica, drammatirgia ben scritta, indimenticabili i duetti tra i vari protagonisti, soprattutto padre e figlia e quelli tra Gilda e in Duca. Peccato che alla avvenenza di Gilda non corrisponde affatto quella del Duca di Mantova assai scarso fisicamente e anche come voce non eccezionale. Comunque questa ooera è imperdibile per la indiscutibile bellezza della musica verdiana.

Herr Bosch sets the metronome and doesn’t waver. For a second. The opposite of the Mapleson cylinder of a fragment of O sommo Carlo (recorded “live” from 1903!!) conducted by the supreme Luigi Mancinelli. THERE’S a great non-metronomic performance. People today think that type of interpretation is self-indulgence. I do not.
