  It really sucks because this game can be pretty fun to play but it’s handicapped by the painfully subpar war system and nonsensical diplomacy. Forcing “diplomatic plays” to go to war is just awful, especially when AI decides it’s time to screw the player over again and join a war against you because you had the audacity to subjugate an island with 3K people on it

  Shield were probably the best part of xenonauts 1 (early game). Not improving on the shield playstyle (ie making them useless for most of the game) sounds like a pretty weak choice.

  They probably use this mod to train politicians and generals. But in south korea they may use a bit more immersive version where you micro manage everything to the last screw. :D I remember when I played in hoi3. Such great times
