The PS22 Chorus of Staten Island, directed by Gregg Breinberg, is the Webby Award-winning internet choral sensation ft. 85 public school 4th & 5th graders. PS22 Chorus formed in the year 2000 - an ever-changing group of 5th graders from a public elementary school in Staten Island, New York. PS22 is NOT a school for the arts,. and the chorus is not a magnet program. PS22 Chorus simply features ordinary children achieving extraordinary accomplishments. Indeed, the PS22 Chorus videos have garnered hundreds of millions of views across KZread, Facebook, and Instagram. The group has been featured on Nightline, Oprah, The View, Sesame Street, at President Obama's inauguration, & the 2011 Academy Awards! The kids have sung with Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood, Leslie Odom Jr., Tori Amos, and a host of other phenomenal artists. The mission of the multicultural group is to model harmony, both musically and otherwise, and to serve as a reminder that through hard work, anything is possible!

I know how that feels I’m a part of that Sinead help me deal with my depression. She helped me deal with my pain my anger my hurt that I felt when Dolores die she saved my life. If it wasn’t for her I probably don’t know what I would be doing, because I was really sad really depressed when Dolores died Sinead saved me and she became my poetry teacher and she taught me through poetry and through her songs how to heal from that pain. I’m so grateful that she is my poetry teacher. I’m so grateful I had her music because it helped me through a lot after Dolores died, and she helped me through her own death still to this day me and her together as one we write poetry by as her student and she has my teacher.
