It's been a while since we've shared a #ps22randomactofchorus moment with y'all, but this one was just too precious to keep to ourselves!! Mrs. Marie Merante was a teacher at PS22 for many years, retiring in the early 1990s. A fellow PS22 retiree, Mrs. Elise Baboulis, brought me the sheet music to a song Mrs. Merante's father-in-law had written, likely nearly a century ago, and that the Merante family had yet to hear. Cue the PS22 Chorus! We couldn't miss such a wonderful opportunity to bring the Merantes back to PS22, so the chorus could surprise them with a musical piece of their family history!
