    you kind sir gave me the courage to open mine up...unfortunately for me all bulbs were in place (bought the tv second hand,i'm suspecting they changed the leds,so what else could be causing the white spots?maybe they forgot to add 1 deflector?)

  • @notyouraveragejoe855

    Before you opened up your TV, you could have tilted it side to side / back n forth to hear and listen for the fallen lenses sliding around inside. If you didn't hear anything, that could have been an early indicator that perhaps your specific white light spotted halo problem may be due to something else; unfortunately, I'm not knowledgeable enough to help you... BUT, I have seen other troubleshooting videos on YTube that point out other options to try to fix the white light problem. You'll have to do your own research and see if any of those options solve the problem. Another thought to consider though is that even if the bulbs are re-glued on, if they're not perfectly centered, they may not reflect the light properly and thus, you still get the halo effect. This is one reason why I also mentioned in the video, you can take it one step further and buy replacement "bulb strips" that come already assembled. Otherwise, you may want to contact the second hand store and talk to them. Sorry I could not be of more help, good luck and thanks for stopping by.

    Hi David, I wish you success on your repair (you're a man who works with his hands, tools, machines and wood - respect to you for that) but remember, there's risk with the attempt. If you don't get the bulbs on just right, (let alone don't break anything else in the process) it may not solve the problem but you can always go the extra step and purchase and replace the bulb strips. You certainly will learn how to take apart the TV to get to that decision in the process, good luck.

    Hey Joe, Great video I’m heading up to June lake today what bait do you recommend?

  • @notyouraveragejoe855
    @notyouraveragejoe85514 күн бұрын

    I'll assume that you are spin fishing from shore. I have not fished June Lake but I believe it primarily holds different species of trout; therefore, natural baits like worms and salmon eggs are always a good choice but their effectiveness depends on your application to the conditions you are fishing. You can also try the "Berkley scented baits" if you are familiar with that method of fishing (garlic scented is a popular choice). If you're passing through Mammoth, ask one of the local tackle shops (Rick's Sport Center or Troutfitter) what's currently working at June Lake, they "might" give you some good information. If you fish with lures, bring an arsenal, because you never know what's going to work on any given day. Good luck.

So, I found another way. I have found other bits of information regarding power or pressure washing stucco for those researching the topic : washh.com/how-to-clean-stucco/ and airestoration.com/can-you-pressure-wash-stucco/ Otherwise, if you're not careful, you can destroy your stucco and or create moisture related problems down the road. • @notyouraveragejoe855

    I can't say that I specifically leave the house to target them (more likely, I'm just fishing for anything on the bottom and I hook into Sargo) but I am aware of certain areas they like to congregate around in my local area`) but the Summer months are a good time to catch them. Hang on for the fun ride because they are tough little fighters. As for the tides, yes, I generally like to fish the incoming high tides to perhaps 2 hours after the peak.

    How much timr you need to fully regain your muscle?And what are you doing for regain it?

  • @notyouraveragejoe855
    @notyouraveragejoe85522 күн бұрын

    In my situation, it took a solid year and then some to regain the size of muscle mass. Depending on the severity of your injury, how well the surgery went and how much time you were immobilized, generally speaking, you're probably looking at 1 year, for some people longer. The more muscle you had prior to injury and the more you lost due to disuse atrophy, the longer it will take to rebuild it naturally. If you are a "hard gainer" in relation to putting on muscle, it will take longer. Your genetics and biological healing mechanisms will play a major role, (most of which you have no control over) but you can enhance your recovery efforts by making sure you are well hydrated, well nourished with proper nutrition and essential nutrients, and follow a well designed physical therapy (PT) protocol when allowed to do so. After PT, the rest is left up to you to continue on improving. The initial PT work is to regain your flexibility & range of motion due to tissue stiffness and potential scar tissue build up while also working on joint stability when learning how to walk again. PT however, is mostly interested in getting you back to functioning at a level of performing "activities of daily living," not more serious athletic conditioning or body building per se*. (*If you are a professional athlete, the approach is far more comprehensive and intensely catered towards getting you back into the game as quickly as possible... because there's a $contract$ involved and it works best for both parties -player and team- if you return asap; therefore, the "pros" will have access to methods most people don't or can't afford, let alone a team of personnel surrounding them helping them recover faster... such as: A Team Dr.[overseer and advisor as to what PED's one can or can not take], physical therapists, massage therapists and trainers who may utilize neuromuscular stimulation devices, ultrasound/shockwave therapy, perhaps red light therapy, heat/cold therapy, pool work, stretching, strength/muscular development exercise training, balance/coordination drills, fieldwork athleticism, speed-agility-quickness, etc..., a dietician, a chef, and a sports psychotherapist-psychologist to keep the athlete's mind centered on returning to performance and former glory, etc.*) Good luck on your recovery and have PATIENCE in the process.

    When I fractured my leg I had a cast up to my thigh the first month, when they took it off and used warm soapy water to wash my leg and foot I started moaning and the nurse started laughing he asked if everything was ok? I said it feels so good! He said it’s because the blood is being circulated after a month of not being touched. That felt so amazing and I was so pissed I had to wear another cast that went under my knee.

  • @notyouraveragejoe855
    @notyouraveragejoe855Ай бұрын

    Hi Brit, thanks for sharing your experience; however, I doubt the nurse's response was simply due to blood circulating. If your blood did not circulate for a month, your tissue would be massively deprived and turn gangrene and or result in necrosis. What you were experiencing is called tactile or tactual stimulation. This is when your sensory nerve endings (which become highly sensitive in their non stimulating environment of a cast) are now being stimulated by touch and pressure and your heat receptors were activated as well by the warm water usage. The combination of all 3 stimuli at once results in an amazing OMG feeling to your brain. Regardless, I know the sensation well because I've been through it 3 different times and my formal education was in human physiology. Hopefully now though, you too have recovered from your injury and are in a better place, cheers.

    It works well for removing beach tar from human skin (like your hands and feet... just be sure to thoroughly rinse off with soap and warm water immediately afterwards, then apply a moisturizer), bicycle pedals and old shoes BUT, if you have a nice pair of white sandals or colored shoes/flip-flops other than black, you may want to research other tar removal options as well. The problem with virtually all other options is that when you apply the solution, it breaks down the tar and then the tar bleeds/spreads into the surrounding area/material. You can try to limit the spread by controlling your scrubbing and by dabbing with an old rag.

    Is license required for surf and jetty fishing?

  • @notyouraveragejoe855
    @notyouraveragejoe855Ай бұрын

    Yes, you must have a valid fishing license for surf/beach and most jetties (always check with your state/local jurisdiction). If you were to fish from a public pier (www.pierfishing.com/msgboard/index.php?threads/the-official-california-fish-wildlife-dept-list-of-public-piers-and-jetties-%E2%80%94-no-fishing-license-required.2508/), you don't need one BUT you must honor all rules and regulations in addition to limits and sizes. If you hook a big fish from the pier and land it on the beach, you can be ticketed for not having a license. Personally, I don't fish anywhere without my license on me. When it comes to jetties, there are specific qualifications for not needing a license but most require it; so I don't take the chance.

    After I replaced the two white sheets (thick heavy and thin fitment), the 4 flimsy thin black bezels will clip in holding the two white sheets in place (refer to video time of 11:50-14:00). The LED/LCD TV screen will follow and rest on top of and be centered over the bezeled white sheets. In regards to your mention of "top bezel and flappy bits at the side"... can you be more specific? Are you referring to the TV frame bezel and circuit boards? After the TV screen is centered, you will attach, (14:45 gently clip in and then screw in 5 screws) the black outer one piece Frame Bezel. The circuit boards still hang out of the way. At 15:32, is when I prepared to flip the TV over (yes, I placed the circuit boards up under the sheath strips to protect them when flipping the TV over but I didn't fully clip them in yet. If you can secure them before flipping the TV over, that's your option). I chose to secure them in after flipping the TV over. The main issue here is that you don't want to damage the circuit boards during the flip over. I hope that helps.

  • @notyouraveragejoe855
    @notyouraveragejoe8552 ай бұрын

    The drill machine will only work on the shallow screws unless you have an extended length bit. The other screws are deeply recessed within narrow channels but I soon realized, I wanted a better "contact feeling" with what I was working on so that I didn't strip the screw head or the internal housing the screws fit inside. That would create another problem! The extended length hand held screwdriver was the right tool for me. Keep in mind that you can also replace the entire "strip of bulbs" rather than gluing them back on individually, (I referred to this issue in the video. It takes a couple extra steps to do near the end, unlocking the reflector sheet and removing it, then removing the old strip of bulbs but at least you don't have to worry about if you glued them back on correctly.) Did you keep your scar covered for the first 4 weeks? Or clean it with betadine daily or after shower?

  • @notyouraveragejoe855
    @notyouraveragejoe8552 ай бұрын

    My memory of this process over 5 years ago was something like this and based on the fact that you've already had your stitch sutures removed: I kept the wound area clean and treated daily. If I was leaving the house, it was also covered/wrapped and in the boot to protect it. If I was at home, there were times, say of couple of hours within the day and free from the boot (if I was cleared to do so), while resting, I would just let "air" get to it unwrapped and without ointment; otherwise, it was treated. When going to bed, it was always treated (some form of antibiotic-antiseptic ointment, your mention of Betadine is used as a topical antiseptic but I don't recall personally using it) and wrapped to protect it while sleeping. After a time, I was then only concerned with skin scarring aesthetic recovery and no longer infection. Biology and sound nutrition will take its course but I used other topical ointments mentioned in my video description (Vaseline and Vicks rub) to keep the skin area moisturized and soft.

    @@notyouraveragejoe855 did you keep it covered during shower within the first 4 weeks? What did you clean the wound with before applying Vaseline? My dressing is stunk on so I can't remove it for airing and tape it back on. I would need to go through about at least 4 packs a day😅. What did you use to cover your wound? So when you go to sleep you would use Vaseline and cover the wound for the night?

    It's sounds to me that you are still early on in your recovery. Follow your doctor's orders until they remove the bandages unless they have instructed you to do otherwise. The bandage dressings can be "stuck" as you mentioned due to wound seepage and then that oozing fluid dries. I can't perfectly recall, but I probably had my dressing-bandages removed and cleaned every 2-4 days at the doctor's office originally. As for showering, I did no such thing early on, (the wound needs to be fully healed and closed and kept dry and dressed) only sponge baths with soap and warm water "around the bandaged area" until I was cleared to remove the dressing and start self treating the wound. Once the wound is fully closed and the stitch sutures are removed and fully closed, I was then given a green light to self treat and shower. I also had steri-strips on that would eventually fall off from washing/showering in time but not to be pulled off. I don't remember the timeline but once I was cleared to self treat, that's when I began what I referenced in the above comment. I would clean and ointment treat it, cover the wound with large dressings and then gauze wrap it or use an athletic elastic wrap (careful not to put it on too tight) when I went to bed at night to protect it from being rubbed, bumped or kicked while sleeping. If I left the house for errands, the boot was on as well for added protection. In time, I no longer needed the boot and I no longer needed to wrap it at night but I continued to treat the skin surface with ointment for a couple of years. I wanted to diminish the look of that scarring as much as possible.

    @@notyouraveragejoe855 the nurses didn't tell me anything at all after my cast came off. I had loads of questions when I had the cast on and after it came off. I haven't seen my doc since the surgery and there was no care instructions. It's all about elevation and physio exercises. Thanks for giving me details about wound care. Greatly appreciated.

  • @notyouraveragejoe855
    @notyouraveragejoe8552 ай бұрын

    Wow, that's unacceptable treatment procedure to me but I'm not familiar with your details (usually there's a follow up after surgery with your surgeon/doctor, even if it's to ensure there's no infection but certainly to provide guidelines on therapy protocol, treatment procedures and proper wound care) and now I better understand your questioning. I am NO doctor but here are some things to consider and keep in mind that your injury and surgical procedure may be very different from mine. Arthroscopic surgery (small incisions and less invasive) is very different from open surgery (like I had on my ankle). The wound area is much larger in "open" and more tissue is cut; thus, it will take longer to heal, the rehab protocol will be extended and more care is needed for a longer time. I don't know what type of surgery you had but in "open" you will most likely need stitches removed as well after you've been cleared from the fiberglass casts, which can be 2-4 months later. During cast transitions, specifically the first "soft cast" after surgery because it allows for tissue swelling unlike fiberglass casts and the bandages will be soiled from wound seepage), the staff personnel will check for infection (odd green/yellow discharge, wound failing to show progress on closing, skin redness, heat, excessive swelling, or chronic itching are signs of infection - if you see signs of this, call your doctor!), clean and treat the wound and then redress the wound area and cast you into fiberglass. Once you've been cleared from all of the fiberglass casts and your stitches have been removed (which means you still have tiny holes to seal and heal... this is when self treatment with betadine or similar antiseptic or antibiotic cream is used for a couple of weeks and yes, you can cover the wound with bandages and wrap the area with gauze like we've discussed earlier... once all skin holes have sealed, you can begin gently washing the wound area with soap and warm water and self treat the skin scarring with ointment as desired and we discussed earlier... if arthroscopic, you may not have any stitches to remove and your wound may already be closed but how would you know if you are still bandaged and left unsupervised? Being left in soiled bandages for several days can also lead to potential infection or rash formation. I WOULD CALL THE DOCTOR'S OFFICE, ASK QUESTIONS AND OR ASK FOR A FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENT to give yourself some peace of mind. You mentioned physio exercises: if you are doing this at home rather than being supervised, I again urge you to call the office. I wish you well "littlehomeforest."

    1. Always communicate with your Doctor. This type of open surgery scarring does not heal in a month. Sure, the majority of wound closing will be in the first 2 months but the scarring improvement will continue on for 1-3 years, everyone is different. 2. Are you sure the dry patches are not Steri-Strips? These are wound closing thin bandage-patches that cross over the surgical line to help the skin come together for wound closing, sealing and healing. They will typically fall off on their own. 3. If you notice redness, odd discoloration, heat, swelling, oozing puss, or itching around the wound incision area, you may have an infection. Consult your doctor. 4. If you've been in a cast for several months and now you are free from it, you may notice dry, flaky skin around the area. That would be expected and should improve after several washes. Also when sitting or resting in my house during the day, I would let air get to my skin and wound (meaning, I would not have anything on it or covering it for a couple of hours each day). Ask your doctor if Vaseline is acceptable to use as a moisturizer. 5. I always kept my wound clean and used either an antibiotic ointment, Neosporin gel or similar type ointment to cover the wound area. I mentioned the ingredients of a vaporizing rub (Vicks) in my video description that has worked for me for decades but I am also not allergic to any of the ingredients, some healthcare professionals may disagree with this product or suggest other options. 6. I maintained my hydration and nutrition to ensure essential nutrients for healing. Research wound healing nutrients and the variety of foods that contain them or speak with a registered / clinical dietician. 7. Always refer to your doctor/surgeon regarding your individual situation and care. Thanks for reaching out, I hope your situation improves.

    After 4 different immobile casts, chances are you're going to have some disuse, muscular atrophy. My first thought was "who's leg is that?" If your Doctor is giving you the boot, that's a good sign you're healing and ready to advance into a more mobile apparatus-boot. Physical therapy will probably start soon as well as you will need to retrain your mind and your body on how to eventually walk again and with proper mechanics. It's a process to go through but at least you get to start working on it whereas when you were in the immobile cast, you were only recovering from surgery and healing.
