Nice shop
I have a 94 silverado 5.7. How can I tell if I have a 700r4 or 4l60? Without dropping the trans. Everyone keeps telling me 4l60e but I bought a 2000s model and it didn't fit.cause the transfer case is different. Idk if I answered my own question there but I would appreciate the help
Thanks
I have a question what happened to your business in town
Found it: 4D MOTORSPORTS... Subscribed.... 🤙
Are you saying 4D Motor Sports? Took me a bit because of all the ones close to what I could understand. I do believe I got the right one because I saw the Dirty Bird in the runs. Here is info and you may want to put it as a link in your video page. I tried but YT would not let me put the link in.I look forward to the carb teardown, etc. nice change of pace and open to learn something new. 4dMOTORSPORTS
Yes, sir
I remember when we did the transmission in this one and put her on the dyno when we did the red supra ❤
Went racing?? Want to see the videos... PLEASE!
That is beautiful wow I would love to have that
All of that horsepower and not even a roll bar?....livin' on the edge. Beautiful car!
Annie!!!🤙 Greetings from sunny and mild Eastern Washington. 😎👍
The Democrats are just like narcissistic person! Accuse Trump for doing exactly what they are doing!
Sorry Richard, I went to your son in law’s page. I watched that first short and unsubscribed because of the horrible language. Love your videos. Watched for a long time.
Sorry about that we’ll see about change
Oh how awesome it is to still see carburated applications out there !
Love the videos!! Keep them coming.
What is your opinion on using AV gas? I run it in my Gasser and have no problems. AV gas is supposed to last for years, and I leave it in all winter and have had no issues for years. It cost more than pump gas but in the long run it saves me lots of time and aggravation.
Red on Red!!!
1st cherry red Malibu view!
Beefed Up Deer Slayer. She might want some AC in Houston. I wonder what the MPG's will be on the Highway.
@@christopherwatson283 actually fuel mileage should be pretty good. We stayed with a smaller carburetor for fuel mileage. We will suffer a little bit of horsepower but she’s going to be driving it on the highway more stuck on the highway for hours possibly and traffic jam stuff like that so should do very well.
All that work and you didn't do a roller cam conversion. It will go flat - those bigger cams always do. Just ask us how we know --
@@torreypines3074 this is actually a very small cam not a lot of spring pressure should last a very long time with proper break-in
Awesome build sounds great
I would sand all the surface rust off that cars body, touch it up with etch primer then reprime it,rub it back with 400-600 grit wet & dry sandpaper then I would tack rag it with grease and wax remover then paint the body to prevent it from rusting out. 21 years ago I drove one of my cars around painted with bare primer for about 6 months until we got the time & money to paint it with acrylic lacquer. These days I might opt for a 2k polyurethane paint,I don't have a licence to paint with 2 pack paint in Australia & I would need to find someone who has a spray booth & a curing oven to cure the paint, it's illegal to paint with 2 pack paint in the backyard shed over here !
I never thought of O2 sensors for a carb. What an excellent idea. Great work! Hope the smoke stays away.
Maybe I can talk yall into doing my 4l60e!!?
if joe dirt cant have his hemi this would be his second choice
I would have gone EFI, but I'm not a carb guy at all. 🤔 Greetings from muggy/smokey Eastern Washington.😎👍
I built quadrajets for years and used an AEM A/F gauge to tweak it before I shipped it out. I was surprised to see when I changed the open element to a duel snorkel air cleaner the duel snorkel drew in more are according the A/F gauge.
I have a 05 ford 5.4 with 256000 still going strong
Good job Richard! She will love the result of your work, for sure!
So good to see this ladies Firebird go through Richard & Teresa and get built even better after what's she's been through. Sure it took a little longer but when she fires that bird up a confident smile every time.
POOR THUMB COME HEAR I WILL MAKE IT ALL BETTER WITH A KISSEY KISSEY . BUT RICHARD CAN FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO MAKE HIS ARM BETTER 😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉
THE THUMB IS ALIVE AND WELL . ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
For Shame, a chevy in a poncho? Hehe, just kidding, Poncho motors kinda suck.
Factory it was a 6 cylinder engine previous owner had thin wall 350
Gone are the days of tuning with a vacuum gauge.
What did you do with the engine oil, cam, and lifters to get thru the break in period without wiping out the cam or lifters?
@@GNX157 we talked to the comp cams tech department and use the oil that they recommended and we did a 25 minute 2000 RPM break-in on the camshaft after motor cooled down. We change the oil to Valvoline ZR1 oil and wicks filter. and re-did a valve lash adjustment and we also had less at Barker machine do a tooling groove in the lifter bores hole to spray oil on the camshaft lobe instead of splash only and when we had the head set up less , had the valve springs retainers and keepers and the cam card to set the springs up to the proper spring pressure so it doesn’t wipe the cam out
Les does a good job!
Can't wait to see the 1970 Chevelle ! Wish I knew if my 89 GMC V1500 Suburban EFI can take a roller cam conversion and still run on the factory computer. All I'm looking for is stock performance but the HP gains of a roller.
Brilliant Richard and Teresa. It makes my day to see your videos, keep them coming.
I have that Innovate dual kit in my Demon and it's tied into the God Box for tuning. Those units are well worth the money!
I saw those flat top pistons with the 2 valve reliefs and was wondering how it was going to run on pump gas until I saw the cam specs. That turned out really nice!
smog heads have all the room in the world in those giant combustion chambers
Takes me back to the 80’s helping a friend rebuild his 400 in a firebird
Nice video guys. The engine sounds good, nice job.
Thanks 👍
Sounds great guys
Awesome car!!!!
Great job.
Hope Lisa knows how lucky she is to have you work on that bird!!
I have the same tranny 4l60e, but the 97 1500 truck version. I have the same forward sun gear stuck with damaged gears. I can't believe there is not a tool to remove damaged and locked gears like this. this is my first auto trans rebuild, although I have done other major auto rebuilds. If you run into another such repair with this type of damage, please do a video on getting this area apart.
Thank you for doing what you do. God bless you all.
The wasp's are hunting Theresa, hope l spelled that right.. mrs T. l always liked the e4od, 4r70w, and the 4r100, relatively long lasting trans, if you didnt tow anything that is...lol. Hey another great, informative video, thanx again you guys. Much appreciated.
Are you guys planning on consolidating both of your channels or posting on both?
My Precision front wheel bearings on my 2018 Silverado I got are made in CHINA
Soooo…..when are you going to do a build segment? I guess I’ll go elsewhere which is really sad because I’ve been watching your channel for a long time. C’mon Richard, give us a build video, please?
