Hello Timo, very nice video, I would like to know if it's possible at this moment to take only one vehicle from a category for all the championship ? Like If I choose Vintage 1 with BMW and Corvette, I just want to select BMW and I would also that my opponent have BMW and not a Corvette... I know that in Single Race we can do this "Same vehicle as mine" but I don't see this option in custom championship... Thank you in advance for your answer

Expectations sound a bit out of line. A new game title is $120 plus ongoing DLC $ to keep content current. This game is way more complete than we paid for so far. Plus it's a niche title for WEC and officially licensed, which is amazing and can't be cheap

It’s a decent looking game but the colour palette is a bit too vivid, everything looks shiny and new. The bit that really breaks it for me is the mirrors not showing any your own car regardless of how far you adjust them, I find it kills the immersion and more difficult to judge the position of the car behind accurately.

Months late but about the turbos from the past There were so many gaps in air ratios between the available turbochargers. One size down you fall short on power goals. So larger turbo, hit power goals, penalty was turbo lag.

I'd love to see some "Super Touring era" Touring cars from the BTCC's golden era added one day, they would complement the 1980's DTM cars included in the Stock game and the Thunderflash Sierra Cosworth RS500.

@@chadlaker962 Hard to say from here. But a common mistake are not matching livery names in the livery XML and the Custom AI.
The AI blue flag behavior ruins this experience, sadly.

The best historical car simulator is still, by far, assetto corsa. By far.
Did you drive a manual, with a H-pattern shifter, as it should? I didn't hear you heal-and-toeing to rev-match in the braking zones.
I did. Heel and toeing only where I had the time 😉
@@TimoDick Cool lap, though. :) I spent lots of time practicing just that until it became second nature. I do it each time I downshift on manual formulas as well, just much quicker than on GT cars, sometimes two gears at a time if needed. Then I started practicing clutchless upshifting and clutchless downshifting with rev-matching on Porsche 908 and Lotus 98T, to refine my sense for the revs, the timing, and the throttle. These have dog box transmissions and it works just fine on them. But it also works on synchromesh. On these, on GT cars in general, on 60s-70s formulas, it's easier to do smoothly, just time the shifts and the throttle, and blip it in neutral on downshifts. It's harder to do clutchless downshifting on late 80s and 90s formulas without grinding the gears each time, everything happens too fast. Another refinement technique I focused on is heel-and-toeing while turning.

I loved this car on project cars 2 it was the best in class. I still haven't tried any mods on ams2 yet because iam not sure if the physics will be as good as reiza cars. Great content mate 👏

There are thousands of combinations in AMS2, have you all played the official content to the point of boredom? All the mods I've seen so far are far behind Reiza's own developments. At least in terms of physics and force feedback. It's like collecting marbles. The balls all look different but are almost the same. This Lego sandbox process actually turns an attempted simulation into just a MatchBox children's room. Since the simulation is far from complete, you end up with a collection of cars in different phases of development where no modder is working on them any further. Nope, I won't mod until Reiza has at least completed physics. There is enough content.
I am partly with you. I do enjoy some AMS2 mods but to be honest there are always worse physics wise compared to the vanilla content. I love the JGTC cars, but the physics feels very "basic" Not great at all

@@TimoDick thanks that is good too know and I will give it a try. Still, what I was wanting to do is disable particular cars for example Toyota GT1 as BOP is way out.
@@harrysmith1986 Well, you can also keep the classes as they are and only delete the Toyota drivers in the Custom AI. Thus, and as long as there are at least as many Custom AI drivers as there are grid positions, the game will only pick the cars allocated to Custom AI entries. Drawback is that you will have to pick a multiclass session if you want to race the Panoz with other cars, meaning formally you are not racing against them on the leaderboard.

I just got AMS2 yesterday with all the DLC cause of the steam summer sale… this is my favorite sim now. I play fully in VR and the VR clarity is second to none. Even ACC falls short of the VR performance in AMS2
