Why don't you try adding a $2. high temperature cut off resetting switch, like those sold on Aliexpress in various set temperatures and both normal open and normally closed styles, to the outside the OEM brushed 24v 250w DC motor, to avoid overheat damage? Kind of like that famous Electric cars suspenseful pursuit scene from the classic1971 Sci Fi movie "THX 1138". Where they have to wait for the motors to cool off or something, to get going again. So that if and when you push the motor too hard for too long, up hills etc., the controller will shut off the motor before any damage. Then just wait 15 minutes or more for a proper cool down, no harm done. Should be able to wire a normally open temperature switch of about 60 C to the controller's brake lever circuit which is also normally open, but closes and cuts off the motor when the rear brake lever is applied. I suppose super glue might be the best simple thing to use to attach the switch to the motor body. Super glue should be able to take the heat and also conduct the heat to the switch.

I used 48v in this build, however the motor I used was rated for 24v 250w. The windings vary between speed and torque on these motors
@@dylanmoore1006 they definitely do. With my 24v 250w running 36v lead acid was 21mph and lithium was 23mph. Always interesting to see what others did. Great build. Do you still have it and how long dis the motor last? Overvolted need cool downs every 10-15min after full throttle runs
@bdrgarage7039 I sold it awhile ago but I still have a few empty frames. The motors only lasted about 1 minute of full throttle before they started cooking up.
that must have been an exciting 1 minute though....@@dylanmoore1006
Thanks Dylan I had just about given up on the controller I paid 41 dollars for. I couldn't get it to work to save my life until I watched this video and you showed where I was going wrong. She works now. Thanks buddy!!
Glad I was able to help!
That looks insane
You are the magician of electric vehicles. I just wanted to ask you if there is a way to put an escooter controller on a mobility powerchair that has 2 motors. Really hoping that you can. Thanks for these fantastic videos xxx
Thanks for watching! I'm sure it's possible, it would depend on the type of motor used. The controller shown in the video is for a brushed motor.
Is the brake connecter NO or NC?
Wym?
@@dylanmoore1006 the brake switch connector has to stay open, or it has to be shorted like the key connector?
DUDE THANK YOU SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!! ive been looking for this kind of video you have helped me so much on understanding it THANK YOU!❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for watching ❤️
I dont have black but I have white Grey and yellow which do you suggest I use?
If there aren't any labels, I would contact the supplier to see which connector is the power lock. Jumping the wrong connector can blow the controller mosfets.
Hey idk if you’ll see this but what harbor freight tires and wheels were you using?
I sold the bike, but I remember the wheels did look like they came from harbor freight. I wanna say they were 10" wheels.
I have wite yellow and a blue wire , if I plug white and yellow in to power lock like you did , what do I do for the blue wire ? Any help appreciated
Are the wires coming from a throttle?
20 mph is the limit for E Scooters in many states per the law. Going over is dangerous on a tiny wheels straight steering scooter and an officer might ticket if they think you are now a moped etc because of the excessive speed.
No one here is asking what is legal, or what is safe.
Super glue should be able to take the heat and also conduct the heat to the switch.
does it work on the e300 hd
hd
Technically, yes. But the HD uses a brushless motor, the original model is brush operated. So you will need a brushless controller matching the voltage/wattage specs of the motor and battery.
@@dylanmoore1006 thanks bro

How long is the chain??
I sold the bike. It was nearly a whole 140 link chain from what I recall. Size was 420
You don't explain witch wires connect to the switch white to what yellow to what red or blue . Whatever next vid bs
these links are expired, anyone have the part specs?

@@dylanmoore1006 cool. Imma check it out, thanks. Still running well?
@size queen I ended up selling the scooter. I later realized it's highly profitable to flip these modified scooters. I never had any problems with it other than the stock motor overheating.
Whats the reliability of the scooter so fsr, the motor burn out? Controller still working?
The stock motor will eventually burn out at 48v. If you keep an eye on the motor temp, it'll last a while. You can run it on 36v without worry.
@@dylanmoore1006 that's kinda what I was thinking, getting a 36v battery instead of a 48v, also how much did you pay and where did you buy your battery?
@Anthony Cool Boi I got the battery from eBay. The brand is called "cao mm." you'll have better luck with 36v because the speed controller should have an overheating sensor for the motor. It will just cut off the power before the motor overheats. It goes 20mph with the 36v battery.
I have a dual blr dc controller 48v.. I want to config it to my njax throttle xthunder.. can u help me mate.. 🙏

Not all speed controllers are the same, but I'll shoot my shot at helping you. Red black and green should all correspond with the same colors on the "derailleur" plug. The yellow and blue should hookup to "indicator light" plug. Lmk if this makes sense
@@dylanmoore1006hi I've got 3 18v 5ah makita batteries I have all the adapters for them to work on a scooter. I was just wanting to pick your brain to see what controller and motor you think would work. Xx
@vikkidyer if you're running the batteries in series to get 54v, then I would assume a 48v controller/motor pair would work fine.
@@dylanmoore1006 thanks so much for the reply. I will have a go 🙂
Hello brother how can find speed wire in different brand of controller, which is right wire should be , I really tired now speed 15 with 400watt moter 48v 20ah thank you
Is it a brushless or brushed motor?
But does she know what all the other wires are for if it has the additional features on it
How many miles will it go now
It was a long time ago so its hard to recall what battery size it was, but I wanna say it was around 12 miles.
my throttle is red yellow yellow green dafuq im gonna do
Mine still turns on when I put the battery in
Wym?
I have a Uber scooter1000w there is a sport line on my control where does that one plug into
Not sure, but there's definitely some info online. They always put many extra connectors and features on the controllers. What I do know is that they're optional to connect.
I just bought the 350 motor, the throttle, and the 1000 watts controller, can you tell me what else do I need ?
Can you list what I need to buy to make this happen? I have the same Scooter
Whats the sport plug for ??
Not sure to be honest, I never hookup the extra stuff
How much did it cost?
The whole mod was about $250 total. Scooter I found on sale for around $100
Mine is leaking gas just did a video showing the leak
Does it have the original carburetor? Usually they're junk and need to be replaced even if it's clean. They have poor airflow
