Jesandy

Hi, my name is Andy and I'm a PS4/PC gamer, usually playing Tekken 7 League of Legends, or CSGO :D
I'm here to show you some of the most personal random clips i have whilst playing these games.
Overall, this channel is primarily for your sake, and to entertain and help you learn new things that you might've not known before :)

    Im maining Ling atm (i know i know, but my T7 main is still ded and shes fun, so sue me!!) But Ive been dabbling with King lately because I miss AK a lot... its funny to see that hes harder to play than I thought. Going against King I always thought he was this mashy brainless character like you mentioned but to stop people from mashing or ducking all the time is actually real work with King since he lacks good tools to play small and noncommital pressure (or mashy) tekken like most character can in T8 This was a great intermediate-advanced guide and a great addendum to the dashfight guide of yours I watched before. It also helped me learn about Tekken strategy and how i should approach the game a lot so thank you!!

    Sorry if you did not find the guide helpful! Fortunately there have been several others who have said otherwise and have helped them. I'd at least hoped you'd retain maybe one or two things that could be useful, but maybe my info was lost on you. Maybe you can find another guide elsewhere to find the answers you're looking for 🤷‍♂️ Best of luck!

    HOLY SHIT 5:50 I just realized you've been pressing 2 and then HOLDING IT before inputting triple forward then 4 Btw, how do YOU specifically deal with constant backdashing, constant jabbing, and/or constant dickjabbing? My opponents ALWAYS seem to know when they can do a jab to interrupt me or backstep to force a whiff, even with my huge range moves. Should I just start dashing forward and jabbing? Am I forgetting something? Also, any tips to "having a strong defense?" It feels like a massive knowledge check all the time against characters like Leo, Azu, Xiaoyu and Lili with their weird ass stances.

    @@Jesandy Not even hatred. Pure toxicity. This game promotes pure toxicity. The gameplay is TOXIC. You guys, you "pros" have it "fine", but you don't quite grasp what casuals and players wanting to improve have to face day to day. We're learning Tekken in Tekken 8. We're learning all of the bs, all the knowledge checks, all of it in this version of a pachinko master 50/50. Not only that, but we have to face King. King, who can spit at you from any distance, sneeze and you're already down and next thing you have to guess, into another guess, into another another another... Absolutely obnoxious. Tekken is obnoxious and King is the most obnoxious he's ever been and represents everything that is wrong with this iteration of Tekken. So yeah, I'm sorry, but this is how I feel.

  • @Jesandy
    @JesandyАй бұрын

    @@Cazarace your feelings are valid and warranted! I found your comment humorous just because of the way it was worded, but i empathize. I had to learn Tekken in a game that didn't allow for consistent sidestepping, backdashing, and was reliant strictly on counter-hit moves and low parries that dealt upwards of 50-70% HP in one interaction (not including 2D characters that had 100% HP combos). This game is much more forgiving compared to T7 and pretty much any other Tekken because you can step, armor *safely*, backdash, and use heat to retake your turn. That being said, the learning curve for Tekken in general is fairly steep. I had to learn every knowledge check in T7 as well. It wasn't like this knowledge just fell on my lap and I completely understood what to do from the get go. I understand the sentiment of what new players are going through, and learning to play against King is frustrating, even as a King main. Learning throw breaks, looking at hands, always mashing, etc. That's why I made a video on common things that King players do at low level usually, and how to go about beating it. If newcomers are willing to practice the things I mentioned, there's a high chance they'll be able to understand the matchup fundamentally and hone their strategies using matchup knowledge. Same goes for the King player. If they want to get better, they'd do their best to break their habits to stop doing the things I mentioned in the video. It takes effort from both sides though. It isn't impossible to beat King. He's not some God-tier character. No character is. Most strong characters are definitely annoying to learn to play against, but if you're willing to put in the effort, it's very do-able.

    On PlayStation what's 1,2,3,4

  • @Jesandy
    @Jesandy2 ай бұрын

    1 = square 2 = triangle 3 = X 4 = O ^ most tekken notations are referred to universally in this 1-4 manner to avoid having to reformat notations to specific consoles with diff symbols for their controllers. It also keeps things consistent where 1 is left punch, 2 is right punch, 3 is left kick, and 4 is right kick. For ex: Ps4 controllers have X in the 3 position, but for xbox, X is in the 1 position

    Anything mire than minus 10 is safe on block right?you mentioned minus 6 and 8, but you can still block so what's the disadvantage?

  • @Jesandy
    @Jesandy2 ай бұрын

    Correct- anything more than -10, like -9, -8, are safe! You can still block at -6 and -8, but that's pretty much your only option. Constantly being at -6 or -8 leaves you with little room to continue your offense, so, it leaves you at a disadvantage *because* your only option is to block. Mashing will more than likely get you counter-hit, and you're too minus to step and move around effectively

    If armor moves get you all the time you're probably just mashing. Mix up your strings with lows and grabs. Don’t mindlessly run into him with unsafe moves. Duck/sidestep punish when you get a read. And if you block one, NEVER let it go unpunished. Every armor move is a counter-throw window on block.

    Awesome vid! I wonder about using throws defensively since CH throws are hard to break. Sometimes i use giant swing like a ch tool, since it’s 10f tho it will probably lose to high crushes. Btw are high crushing moves generally unsafe/launch punishable? Sometimes i freeze up thinking i might get crushed again😂

  • @Jesandy
    @Jesandy4 ай бұрын

    Generally speaking, most high crushing moves are lows, and most lows are unsafe, though there are *some* high crushing moves that are safe like Asuka and Jun's low slow sweep. Each high crushing move varies in how punishable they are, so you'd have to go through each one. And yes! I use throws like this often, but I try not to crutch on it as it leads to bad habits and can be exploited relatively easy (and is high execution to pull off)
