Wally Trinc

Wally Trinc

Hi my name is Wally ,
I'm from Melbourne, Australia & welcome to my woodworking channel .

I have a full time job in manufacturing & in my spare time I enjoy making projects; some small, some big.

Although my channel is mostly about woodworking , I also have a passion for landscape gardening , occasionally I may do a review/unboxing of related equipment ie... (woodworking tools)...( landscape/ gardening tools / sheds ...etc ).

I've been using both hand/power tools for over 35 years , I'm not a professional woodworker , but rather an enthusiast , with a real passion to learn/share my ideas & inspire others.

Thanks for watching my videos & subscribing .

Have a great day !

  • @wallytrinc9885

Thanks , length = approx 1000mm . Width = 800mm . Height to the Apex - 950mm. Door entry = 500h X 500h X330w mm... for larger dog (500hmm) add extra 100hmm height. The frame was 42X42mm pine , plywood=5mm thick , 150X10mm fence pailings (exterior).. 1 inch framing clouts to nail pailings onto frame. long hex head screws as seen in video. Tools = drop saw would be great , if not a simple hand saw with 90° 45° guide will do. large square , jig saw , hammer , clouts , Note...this does no include sub floor measurement. The Dog house itself (project) was a gift to a friend , I have no plans , other than building (improvising) as I went along . , cheers , Wally

Nice job! Just two questions. Why wax bottom of runners? They dont touch. Why go to the trouble of building the plexiglass guard. I would add a solid block of plywood and place a stop on the side of the sled that will hit a stop on the side of the saw preventing it from traveling too far. Also you can put a short extension on the back edge of the sled so it will hit the back of the saw table.

  • @wallytrinc9885

G'day William , In regards to your first question (Wax)... if you'll notice I didn't wax the bottom of the runners only the inner edges and sled base ! ...the fibre-glass (plexiglass guard) seems to have gotten me many favoirable responses , ,,,, at the end of the day , there are dozens of different versions on KZread platform , I've simply added my own style,,,thanks for your comment & watching .
