Easy Czech is a project to help you learn Czech in an authentic and fun way. We interview people in the streets of Prague and other places in the Czech Republic. We also create "Super Easy" videos where members of the team speak in slower Czech, in order to help beginners and intermediate learners. All our videos have subtitles in Czech and English.
Easy Czech is part of the global project Easy Languages, though it has its own KZread channel where 4 videos are published every month: 2 street interviews and 2 Super Easy Czech.

If you want to reverse it and ask me as an American what is shocking in Cechia, it is the attitude to nudity. I lived there for six years and see how puritanical Americans are. Soon after arriving, I saw full frontal male nudity in an ad on TV and was told it was OK after 10 pm. A display in the posta (!) in Vinohrady featured a selection of nude paintings from an art club, an ad in the metro station there showed a nude young man sitting on his motorcycle, and who can resist looking at the obligatory bare breasts on the inside page of Blesk? It seems a very healthy outlook to me, instead of the hypocrisy in the US. Bare is beautiful.

I lived in Prague for some time and had to come back after the outbreak of the coronavirus. After 4 years of absence of any type of Czech I’m surprised I can still understand most of the things that were said without reading the subtitles. Thank you for the video, for it has sparked the will to learn it once more.
Yes, Czechs are cold especially towards foreigners coming from any country that lies East of CZ. Even if you speak the language to some extent, they will not include you in their group and if you are smarter or more mature or speak more languages than they do, they will envy you a lot and hate you for it.
