Advice me 3d printer for good result Please
If you're just starting out with 3d printing resin, my go to printer right now would be the Elegoo Mars 5 Ultra that is up for preorder on their website for $269.99! If you want to learn more about it take a look here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/oJqnrbKbqbGxabg.html Thanks for commenting!!
As cool as most of those companies are, I almost immediately turn away when I find out they don’t have their own website. My mini factory is so disorganized and confusing. I like knowing how to immediately find what I’m looking for instead of weeding thru everything I don’t need. That’s why Loot reigns in my book. That being said, if all of these companies decided to do their own website, I’d subscribe to them all 😂
That's an interesting take. Though I get what you're saying I like the one stop shop of Myminifactory so I don't need to keep track of all kinds of different websites. Thanks for the comment and I appreciate your perspective!
I really appreciated the video and I congratulate you but I disagree with the ranking which, obviously, is subjective. For me LootStudios is the best, followed by Rescale miniatures (formerly Lord of the Print)...then there is an abyss. As a dungeon master the miniatures of these two creators are the best, much more realistic and detailed. The other creators are probably more appreciated by those who play Warhammer, also for their less realistic style (Warcraft style)...
Thanks! Yeah, I get it. Not everyone will agree but you do have excellent taste in minis!
Mine cause they are free.
Nice!!! I'll check out your work!!
@@proxyhobby Thank you!
mine are cast n play and epic minitures. Epic minitures gives you true value for 12.00 you get easily 100 miniatures with the release and the throwback sets.
Cast n Play is pretty cool. 100 miniatures! Wow....that is value! Thanks for the heads up!
Thanks for your unboxing!
My pleasure. Thanks for the comment!! 🙂
Are these all resin, or can you do FDM?
All these creators focus on sculpting for resin miniatures. FDM is getting better all the time but I think the detail wouldn't translate over well. I've been looking into possibly creating a video about creators who focus on FDM but it's been tough.
For me I love Heros Infinite
Ah yes! That's a good one, they do make some excellent sculpts as well. Thanks for chiming in!!
Really looking forward to seeing the Tomb Kings 3D printed army! Maybe you could do a comparison of other Bretonnian proxy miniatures? Just an idea for more videos - the more you do the more people will view and the more subscribers you will get.
That's not a bad idea I will consider it! The only problem is so many good ideas so little time! lol Thanks for dropping a comment! I appreciate it!!
Should have included OPR, Lord of the Print has really picked up their game 99 minis/month
Yeah, I agree. I didn't have much experience with OPR at the time, so I just included the creators I knew well. Yeah, I agree LOTP (Rescale Miniatures) continues to grow with some great releases!! Thanks for dropping a comment!! 😃
Whats the flying ship thing??? How does that work regarding game mechanics?
Hey! Thanks for the comment! It's an Eberron Air ship, created by the warforged! The mini is from the dnd line of Eberron pre-painted miniatures. As far as rules, I have created a ton of rules to expand on Heroscapes rule set. In this case it is considered a Transport, which works similar to the Heroscape Carry ability but substitutes the model who is driving the airship with the airships movement. There's more too it then that but those are the basics of it.
👌👌👌
Thanks for the comment!! 🤘
Hey! Is very glad to see your videos again!!! Awesome paint job 👌👌👌
Thanks! Not sure what happened with this one, it bombed pretty bad. :(
Those came out amazing! I cant believe you didnt even use a brush for 90% of it. Insane
Thanks!! I appreciate the feedback!! 🤘
Well, I can't afford a 3d printer. And if I did have one, I couldn't set it up anywhere since I rent a room. I also prefer plastic to resin, specially for kit-bashing. I left the body off of my Belakor so I can use him for AoS and 40k. Anyway, Cool mini, great paint job.
Thanks! I totally get that 3d printing isn't for everyone and to be honest I prefer plastic as well. I hope one day I'll be able to print my own plastic minis. 😮
I wanna see an Orc & Goblin Proxy army! I have no clue where to start.
I agree, Orc & Goblin army proxy for Old World might be tough to find from just one creator. Let me see what I can find, even if I don't create a video on it I'll try and get back to you.
@@proxyhobby we have hero-level KZreadr, right here! I'm proud to support a great creator!
@@ajemma78 Thank you!! You're a smart man! 🤪
Highland miniatures has Orcs pretty well covered now.
@@shockerck4465 thank you! I'll check that out for sure!
loving it! now that skaventide is on the horizon it would be maybe a good idea for a skaven speed paint tutorial ;D
I love that idea! AOS 4th edition is looking pretty sweet! Thanks for all your support! I couldn't do this without people like you! :)
Great video as always! Had a blast watching it while mixing silicon for my next dice molds! My hands hurt but my eyes are pleased :D
Nice! Love your dice!! Labor of love! And thanks for the feedback on the video! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
🔥🔥🔥

The list could be expanded also by Mierce Miniatures - they are constantly bringing their resin offer into the STL offer. From the mentioned I remember I was buying printed models only the Bestiarum miniatures - now I remember their name. Thanks! ;)
Hey! Thanks for bringing up Mierce Miniatures, I hadn't heard of them so I check them out and learned they have some really cool minis! I really appreciate the feedback!
The problem with Bestiarum is that their models are just too thin and can easily chip. In my opinion Archvillain and Loot Studios seem to be the best when it comes to the balance between realistic as well as durable miniatures.
Interesting. Thanks for your take on this, I appreciate the feedback!
Mate Manuel Boria produces amazing sculpts
Thanks for the feedback! Just checked him out. He has a clean style that I bet is great for painting! So many great artists out there!!
Great army! Looking forward to see them painted up!
Hey! Thanks a bunch! I'm looking forward to them being painted up too!! lol I appreciate the feedback!
@@proxyhobby btw are you planning to proxy more armies? If not films about finding minis for other armies would be cool and useful.
@@andersand6576 I'm not sure I'll be proxying anymore Old World Armies for a while, but maybe I can come out with a video point people in the right places for specific armies. Part of the problem is that some 3d creators don't want too much publicity and want to kind of fly under the radar and I want to try and respect that. Thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated. 🤘
Thanks for showing this. I gave up on GW's manufactured FOMO several years ago and bought a 3d printer. I get blasted every time I tell people how much more I enjoy the hobby now that I have the freedom to print and build what I want at a decent cost without worrying about BS marketing tactics from GW.
You're welcome! Thanks for the feedback! Love GW products but you're right, their marketing and pricing is certainly a problem....
Primal Collectibles is my favorite, very good quality and prints amazing, suports are top notch and sculpts are outstanding!
Thanks for the feedback! I'll be sure to check them out!
@@proxyhobby Im sure your going to like it, I forgot to mention they do proxies for hertoquest, and some other things like dragonlance and forgotten realms. their heroquest line is amazing, very complete!
@@sheep182 Sweet! They do proxies for Heroquest? That's pretty cool...I haven't seen that before. And I loved the DragonLance books as well, it's too bad it never really caught on for D&D campaigns! Thanks for the heads up!🤘
@@proxyhobbyYes they have pretty much done the entire heroquest line, they did last month a promo for all subscribers where they gave out 3 entire boxes of proxies with the miniautures, I think they may do it again this month, but it was a sweet deal, 100 miniatures for 10 dollars.
@@sheep182 Wow! That is a good deal, I think I missed that. Hopefully they continue it this month, I'll be on the lookout! 😀
ZBBOY!!!!
I had to look it up! Makes some pretty incredible sculpts for painters!! Thanks for opening my eyes!
Really surprised you ranked Loot Studios so low in quality/style.
Yeah, going back over the rankings I was too. Honestly, I don't feel like that's a knock on Loot Studios as much as it is a testament to how many great miniature sculptors there are out there. I think maybe the reason I ranked them lower than the others is that b/c of their more realistic approach with proportions a lot of their mini's don't "stand out" as much, and lead to a lot of very similar sculpts.
@@proxyhobby Yeah fair enough, I can see that. As an old school high fantasy D&D, Everquest, Dragon Age, Baldur's Gate, etc fan I personally love the more realistic style of high fantasy since it fits my preferences far better than the more exaggerated slightly more cartoony/comic book styles. All preference. All why games like WoW never won me over and D&D will always be special to me.
@@M4ttNet My background is grounded in D&D as well. I started playing when I was a kid so I get it. In more recent years I've been into Warhammer quite a lot which I steered clear from when I was younger so maybe that has made an impact on how I view miniatures. 🤷♂
@@proxyhobby Yeah, I dig the Warhammer style even if it's not my goto. I've always been curious on firing up Warhammer. It's great that their are so many good mini file subs out there to be able to nit pick such individual style preferences. All of these are so much better than t hose box'd D&D mini's that you probably also played with for many years.
@@M4ttNet lol YES! Those Ral Partha box sets! I still have a bunch. Thinking about making a video about painting up some of those old metal minis! 🤣
While I can’t speak for any of the others…I agree with your comment about difficulty removing supports on Loot Studio miniatures. I took a serious look at Loot Studio and was considering signing up, they appeared to have a great variety of stuff; however, if their free downloads are any indication of what their other pieces are like, removing the supports from the free samples was a nightmare…and I’ve got my setting really dialed in, I’m not over-exposing, which could easily lead to support removal issues. If I’m paying for models, I shouldn’t have to support them myself unless I’m wanting to print them at a different scale than they are offered pre-supported…so regardless how good they are, if the pre-supports are bad then it’s not a good deal.
Consider doing a similar video for FDM printing? Have kids in house so no resin for me. :(
I totally get it. FDM has definitely come a long way in recent years.... I'll do some research and see if I can get a video out. You're not the first to ask about it. Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated!
Archvillian Games miniatures are some of the most detailed I've ever seen. Easily my favourite and they are a lot of fun to paint
I couldn't agree more. Thanks for the comment!!
For anyone who wants to try Warhammer, I cannot recommend redmaker studio enough. Easy to print, paint, and decorate.
Thanks for the feedback!! I will check them out!! 🤘
nerdy greetings friend! I'm looking for a designer who offers modular miniatures, i.e. individual heads, arms, legs and especially weapons, in the cyberpunk universe. do you know someone like that? That would be fantastic ♥ Kind regards
HAHA! And a nerdy greeting to you as well! Yeah, that's a tough one. Cyberpunk models tend to be very character driven which doesn't lend itself well to modularization. I can't think of any off the top of my head but I'll keep my eyes open for you and let you know if I find someone! Thanks for reaching out!
@@proxyhobby Wow cool, that’s sweet of you! I'll give you a subscription for that - it's not much, but small animals are messy too :D <3
@@fraenkybalboa 😃 Thanks for the sub!!
@@proxyhobby Of course, that's the nerd code :D
Last sword and highlands have been my go to for minis for Empire and Vampire counts these past weeks. Man the old printer has gone brrrrr...
HA!! That's awesome! I'll have to go check those mini's out, I'm interested in printing a Vampire Counts army as well! Thanks for the feedback!
Who would you say have the better models for table top? Everyone says Highland kings are too large.
@@Mockthenerd Both are good IMO, I made the mistake to print a few highlands without tweaking the size first but after that I just scaled them down to about 90% I think.
Is his head separate/ easy to clip off? I want to do a Beasts of Chaos conversion for world eaters. ANd want to do a beast head on him.
Good choices. I like Puppets War for the designs and the modular flexibility is incredible. Also prefer Heroes Infinite for their designs as proxies and originals. Both are a great value.
Thanks! I have some experience with those creators, and I agree, they make great sculpts as well!! I appreciate the comment! 👍
What would you recommend for finding skaven units as I'm not sure how to start 3d printing and finding proxys that look nice
I have actually been looking into this. There seems to be quite a bit of interest in finding 3d printable skaven alternatives. I will certainly release a video in the near future with my findings! Thanks for the feedback!! 🤘
Would you have any recommendations for a good skaven army i don't know where to start to find models
I will certainly look into this! With AOS 4th edition featuring skaven I think there will be a lot of interest! Thank you!!
Would it be cheaper than but a full Warhammer army than buying a 3d printer+ supplies+ learning curve failed attempts?
I think it would be close, maybe break evenish. Depends on the size of the printer and which army that you wanted to print. But the cost of 3d printers are coming down every day where as the price of warhammer models are going up regularly. Even if it doesn't break even with that first army, you can still be printing out terrain pieces, basing bits, all kinds of other related things that you wouldn't be able to get without one. Then, at that point you've recovered the cost of that initial investment so the next army that you print will be way cheaper!
music is ridiculously loud vs recorded dialogue my dude
Ugh, sorry about that. I must have set it during a quieter part then it swelled. 😞
Equitaine are really nice and all, but I feel like Highlands sit much better next to official GW models than any others (if you get the scale right). I wanted to be able to mix in new minis (especially the new damsel character on unicorn - might magnetise her to go on a horse/pegasus too) and so far Highlands fit so well with official minis
That seems to be a common thread in comments. People really seem to like Highlands version better. I've been a long time member of Titan Forge so it was natural that I use them, especially seeing I already had all the files. Thanks for the feedback!
Awesome video
Thanks! I appreciate it!
Between Highland Miniatures, Last Sword, Titan's Forge and Lost Kingdom there's a heck of a lot of alternative models being released for Bretonnia. One designer who is worth a shoutout for this army is Ezipion -- his Dark Omen units are a hidden gem, but he has been lately churning plenty of high quality knights and men-at-arms and I think there's in fact a campaign of his over on MMF for knights on foot.
Sweet! Thanks for the info! I'm actually looking for some knights on foot!
Love Titan Forge! Their stuff is the closest to the look and feel of official GW models, in my opinion. And as you said, their models for Equitane are way better than the old Bretonnia ones.
No doubt! Thanks for the feedback! 🤘
Highlands Minis Brettonians are a lot nicer and closer to GW I reckon

WHFB was my core game from 3rd edition right up until GW killed it with the BS "End Times". As tempted as I am by TOW, I just don't trust GW. If it doesn't sell well (and no the fact it's sold out doesn't mean it sold well, it means they WAY under produced for the launch) I fully expect them to pull the rug out from under us again. But if I DID pick it up, I absolutely would be 3D printing anything I needed. In stock or not, GW's prices have reached ludicrous levels. Not sure why anyone would give you flak about how to save money with 3D printing, it's a no brainer to do so.
Hey @nurglerider781, so good to hear from you! I completely agree with you. Though, I got into Age of Sigmar much later I totally get what you went through and can see GW's MO. I do believe that releasing the Old World was lip service at best to the Warhammer Fantasy players and that model support will be pretty minimal. I'm glad we're of like minds about 3d printing. I think a lot of people look at it like it's a huge investment to get started but the reality ends up being that you make the money back in no time not having to pay GW's ever increasing prices. And really, it's not just GW.... little plastic figures from every company are crazy expensive and it's only driving the 3d printing technology forward even faster! 👍
