48:00 I think one good example for quality != results is McDonalds. They spend much more in marketing than in producing quality burgers. They make it predictable and good enough with their franchise which is some form of quality but marketing is what is responsible for lost of their revenue.

Thanks again for such a wonderful content. I also think choosing the right mentors too is a very important factor. I say this from my experience learning portrait drawing. The people I am learning from are the people who have the style I like and want to draw like. So I chose those people and follow every brush stroke over and over until I can do and understand what it is they do to get those results. I think choosing your mentors is also choosing the results you want as along as you do everything they ask you to do. Thanks again for all your grace and generosity with all the knowledge you share. It means a lot to me 🙏🙏🙏

The whole vibe of this episode was very therapeutic and I love it. Jule is very soft-spoken. "You don't share a story to try to connect with others but to connect with yourself and be true to yourself" - That's the right mindset. I see all those stories on LinkedIn and sometimes I really resonate with those stories and some feel very icky to me. Thank you for doing this.

I’ve recently subscribed to your channel. I think there’s value in your thinking about backing your own value. But being able to defend that value is important too. Avoiding the difficult discussion can come off as arrogant and may harm the relationship. I think there is a nuance between justifying/vindicating your price versus explaining/substantiating it. I think there is a way to handle this professionally. If the conversation turns to a defensive one then you know that the client has different values and may not be a good fit for your services. But one can’t avoid the discussion entirely in my view.

Yes! As an entrepreneur I always wonder how this is so easily confused within the employee world. I worked a job where I quickly realized I got paid less for spending longer on a commissioned task because it required more effort than a typical case would to accomplish as thoroughly as it really should be. I had to compensate by compromising to partially take an L so it would be acceptable but partially reducing my quality so I wasn’t paid Pennie’s on the dollar for my work. At the other extreme, I’ve also worked in situations where the workers hurried to do something they were being paid an hourly wage to complete as if getting it done sooner was a badge of honor…No! We were just working harder for less money. I’m a hard worker, too, not trying to shirk responsibility or anything…just the extra effort equating to less money doesn’t jive and many people seem to be oblivious. I don’t get it.
