Started following and learning from Chris, Blair Enns, and David Baker. Charged my first multiple thousand dollar project after reading both Bllair and Davids books, then tens of thousands on the next project, then multiples of tens of thousands on the next... I never thought I could charge so much, my beliefs in my own value was my limiting factor.

I went up on my price several times because of what I learned from you. Same kind of curiosity , how high can I go. First raises didn’t affect my clients number, showing I wasn’t charging enough. I learned about that time that in my one man crew the worker was getting paid well but the business owner , advertiser, accountant, driver/estimator was getting paid NONE. I finally got to the point where my customers often tell me that my job bids are higher than others . So now(!) I can proudly tell them back that “I’m worth it”. Not to my surprise people reply “that’s what I heard” to that . And then we make the deal. People wanna be sure before they sign up.. and willing to pay extra for that. That’s how I feel about it now. I used to feel sorry for charging “too much”.

perfectionism is the attachment to an old identity stuck in the belief of "I'm not good-enough." True creative freedom happens when you shift your operating system perfect ---> a masterpiece and a work in progress. This way you climb the first and second mountains of 'success' simultaneously.

For me I may say and share what is standing between me and success because I'm not in a country that give you the opportunity to be successful, like the success we see online, or my dreams, I may be a successful person but there is a limit to my success, and it's geographic limit. Sorry if my words are not 100% detailed but this is a bit of my story.

Excellent video, Chris! As a new creator who works in physical art, most business/ sales/ marketing advice available doesn't quite fit the bill. However, I must admit that the proper mindset IS critical. When I was a wee lad, my maternal Grandmother told me, "If you think you can or you think you can't, you're RIGHT!". , the Self-Talk Solution, by Dr. Shad Helmstetter was a game changer for me. The words we use to describe ourselves have a Uniquely Powerful effect on us. New subscriber, Long time self talker.

I’ve tested your theory about excellence not always making the difference that makes the difference by doing mediocre work, and no one noticed. Bittersweet but thanks for that. I’m be paid double my wage because I’m working that many consecutive days, been doing this for more than a month now… not even a peep. I don’t like what I’m learning but it is what it is so thanks for sharing your wisdom. Cheers 🍻 and much gratitude
