I grew up with this series and absolutely adored it. The only thing I've not managed with it is getting all the rings in a single save. I've done linked games in both directions, as well as linked hero quest in both directions. It was a wild ride but sadly my physical copies of the games can't keep it's memories anymore so I've lost all the progress it had :(

Technically as the first game had a second play through mode it had 16 dungeons. Which means it had more dungeons than a link to the past

I'm one of probably not many people, who just sees every Zelda Game as its own entity, with no connection to other games, other than their own direct sequels or tie ins. Like the Oracle games, and Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. Despite what the Encyclopedia says. I've loved these games on the GBC, and I actually replayed Seasons on the Switch (have yet to start Ages) And this video was really well done. And shows a lot of love for the games. I highly enjoyed it!

Yeah I'd say Oracle Link/Zelda are the next set of incarnations, and it goes Link to the Past's Link and Zelda, to maybe 50 years later when a new Link is chosen for the Oracle games, to where he leaves after that to do more training, running into the Wind Fish. Another 50 years later we have A Link Between Worlds Link, I guess. The other Link's would be too old and perhaps settled down elsewhere after setting off for training, meaning a new Link needed to be raised and sent out as the triforce's courageous hero to thwart the next attempt to abuse the triforce of Power.

TLoZ is no stranger to despair inducing deaths (even if in theory) of Links. The Link of Oot wound up a dead stalfos teaching moves to Link of Twilight Princess ffs. The whole "Link is dead" thing of Majoras Mask was to good to ignore.... now I think on it, Majors Mask WAS Link getting lost in the woods and eventually becoming the skeletal teacher in TP...

It's a peaceful day in Hyrule with Link making his Pikachu Oh face °□°. There's a mod that makes the swimming controls in Ages better. I doubt a third game will be added if they did remake this. So Knox is a nickname for Onox? 34:10 Don't Scent Seeds also work? I didn't have that much issues fighting Ganon. Did you not have a magic potion? 37:04 I did find that a bit odd. To be fair Veran already did that. 37:11 I don't think Ambi married the ring appraisal guy. I think Ambi's boyfriend is missing the bone that matters so he can't have kids. I consider this a prequel to Link's Awakening because of how the game ended. Fuck the rebooted timeline.

ITS SMOOCHING TIME my headcanon is that the nightmares invaded frim outside the windfishes dream as well. imagine being an intangible dream monster and stumbling into a place where you can actually make changes to the environment? you wouldnt want the 'dream god' to wake up either.

Honestly, I wish this were longer and that you explored more within the video - granted you more or less covered everything important... I'll try watching another video before deciding to subscribe or not! Enjoyable enough though, these were my favourite Zelda experiences as a child and I did tear up a bit when shown some of the ending sequence after defeating Ganon again after so long. Thanks for the nostalgia, keep making content like this - only consider making it longer and more thorough, don't be afraid to segue into more Easter eggs or fun random things throughout or to hang on important moments longer! :)

Imo Waluigi is at most Warios cousin or further out/ of same subspecie of humans with their pink noses. So..Daisy finally got into mainline Mario Wonder. Mr. Waaa should be next 😁Oh..Heres some small comfort thoughts.. Shigeru Miyamoto approved of Waluigi. If Nintendo wanted to murder and bury Waluigi as a character.. well.. wouldnt mr Waaa, NOT be a part of ANY game, be it spin-off or mainline? Also I think the reason he isnt in any Super Smash Bros games as a playable character, is because he dosent appear in a mainline game of his own or shared with say Wario yet.. Nintendo want to brew up something solid for him first. Though SSBros do have added characters outta the blue with no deep, foundational background🤔

Timelines with Japanese Properties are a hot mess overall. As a Gundam fan, I have heard anecdotes that in Japan, the concept of 'canon' is much less pronounced, and regarded. Short version? They're more interested in a stand alone story that is good, than it tying into a greater overarching world perfectly, which leads to things like plotholes, contradictions, and massive retcons when the fanbase starts demanding information. They likely got begged for an answer, and its what lead to A: The "Its groundhog day" plot of Skyward Sword where Link, Zelda, and the spirit of the villain who would become ganondorf/ganon being repeatedly reincarnated for all of eternity in a power struggle of good versus evil, and everyone else just along for the ride (Mask Salesman in Seasons, Mamu Yan in Awakening, Tingle, Malon/Marin, Impa, etc, etc, etc) Realworld? They like character designs, and like to reuse them, make references, and make a good stand-alone story, and this lead to fudging the numbers on the story in universe to appease some fans (and sell some merch) For the gundam example, the novelizations repeatedly use (and kill) the main character. The same character dies three or more times over the course of the timeline in the books, but didn't even die until much later in the animes, and even when he DID die, it took almost 2 decades for them to even 'confirm' he had died 'canonically' and even then, we don't have 100% confirmation, just a high ~90% 'hes dead' when he force-ghosts to help take the tortured soul of the villain away. He was having been listed as 'disappeared in the flash that averted a catastrophe' more or less. And it wasn't until we saw his likeness in a psychic projection that 'ooooh, okay, hes dead. Probably' and only probably because other characters have done just that without dying. So he may just be MIA somewhere STILL. But yeah, tl/dr Japanese culture is more "make a good thing that stands on its own merit, don't worry about an interwoven canon" from what I have experienced in other franchises.

Also Its a traditional, unique aspect of Link and due too Shigeru Miyamoto which writes/ draws with his left. But that flew out the window with Skyward,.BotW and TotK just because most are righties both worldwide and proportionally regarding gamers as the whole. Idiotic really. We lefties have to adapt righty stuff but gosh forbid if righties cant eat it and for once adapt to a left handed character😂 I get the switch to right handed animations for the Wii. But Switch??? ZERO excuses and kinda spit in the face of tradition😠 Best would be option to choose dominant hand at save file creation but you know... " AAA " excuse of too much work/ too little time/ we dont give a darn/ etc

Links awakening link was already dead. The adventure and its people are nothing more than death throes of his over active and ill adjusted mind as a result of having such a messed up childhood experience. (Side note this is basically my theory on majoras mask too, yet to play tots but curious to see as another direct sequel it it follows the same pattern certainly has the trauma down that he or Zelda would likely never recover from)

On the one hand, it would have been neat to add a third game into this group to add even more replay and upgrade value to the way you play and experience everything. But on the other hand it would have also deleted links awakening from existence, so heinsight is 50/50
