Was wondering if there is any gold in the Omnipod 5 or Dexcom transmitters. I can see the circuit boards and it looks like gold, but I'm not overly sure.

Moose. Ive done this method and now have a ton of orange sludge mixed in with the silver... Could I put some hcl in it and take care of it that way and once it clears then filter the silver out? Your thoughts please...

0:24 🔍 Various methods exist to test silver authenticity, from chemical tests to simple observations. 1:11 🧪 The acid test, using nitric acid solutions, is the most accurate method for testing silver purity. 1:56 🛠 To conduct the acid test, file down a section of the item to expose the base metal, then apply acid drops. 2:27 🚫 Look for color changes when using the acid test: red indicates silver, while blue or green suggests another metal. 3:06 🔍 Alternative tests include checking for stamps indicating purity, assessing magnetic properties, and conducting the ice test. 4:42 ❄ Silver's high thermal conductivity causes ice to melt quickly when placed on it, distinguishing it from other metals. 5:43 🔬 The bleach test can also indicate silver due to its rapid tarnishing, but it's not foolproof, especially for silver-plated items. 6:13 🧪 While chemical tests like the acid test are most reliable, other methods like the ring test and bleach test can provide initial indications of silver authenticity.
