Copper is up Moose!!! You have to keep scraping for our entertainment, there is absolutely no benefit to filming other than our love and admiration....also the chance at youtube money. I recently started uploading silly videos again, despite all odds. I enjoy it.. You are an inspiration. MOOOOOOOOSE!!!!

The pump housing are cast iron or stainless. There are also some pumps with bronze impeller and housing.

Who else here wants to see someone cut the stator where the grooves are using a bandsaw or reciprocating saw? That way the the blade would go between two windings and one could pry it apart with a screwdriver or flip it over and do the opposite side and then you would have two halves and the windings would come out fairly easy and whole. If I ever come across a motor like these I'll make a video to show people what I mean!!!

@14:52 why did you take it out of the vice? Could leverage been used to pop the steel off the copper using the same screwdriver?

Moose, fellow Southern Maine scrapper here. I hear guys from all over the country on Facebook, talking about how their shred (light iron) prices are $200, $300 a ton. Schnitzers in portland only giving 100ish, it seems like! Today I ran into a dump truck driver, who said he's getting 250$/ton nearby, but wouldn't say where "out of secrecy". Do you know of anywhere better? Thank you!

Moose, question please: what is the name of your metal cutter. I have never seen anything like it. Way better than a grinder w/ sparks.

I used to get tons of these working at a plumbing supply house that we're mostly being replaced or defective and for a long time copper all day, now a lot of them are aluminum wire OR DIPPED IN MELTED PLASTIC and much smaller. Anything to save a penny times a million adds up for these companies, can't blame them.
