This is a great video and template. Are you a CPA?
This is very helpful! I’m currently studying for FAR 😭
Congratulations on passing FAR..🎉
Do you have a copy you can share
I need an advise from a person who passed the test 🌷
Gleim give this guy some sponsorship lol best of luck on AUD and REG bro!
@@LuisPerez-fc3xr thanks Luis! 🙏
Amazing review. Many thanks for your very helpful insights. I am enrolled in the CFA Program, and Thank God I just passed Level II. Any thoughts on how correlated the FMVA is with the CFA curriculum? I checked the courses, but it would be good to get the opinion of someone who has experience in booth, the CFA and the FMVA. Many thanks!
Congratulations! Did you also pass the CMA exam? I thought I heard it mentioned.
@@Liam69400 I passed the CMA exams back in 2018. TOUGH exams!!
Congratulations! What does your study schedule look like when working full time? Do you study in the morning or after work? Also, how many modules do you do a day, are you just hammering MCQ’s? Thanks!
@@Meyerman1234 relatively speaking, very little during the week. Maybe an hour or so in the evening. Much more on the weekend and holidays. Also, listening to audio on the commute or during down time as much as possible. If I’m doing mindless work, I’ll listen to lectures while working.
Good job! I'm studying for FAR now I will be taking TCP as my discipline exam.
Hey, can you help me with the information regarding their payment structure, when i tried to make the payment, it says it's an annual recurring payment of 497$ each year. If i complete FMVA module in 2-3 months, will the certificate have a validity of a year, so i have to renew the certificate every year. I was thinking about to go for it, if it's one-time payment then it's perfect.
@@decebreezemen7320 contact their customer service team. It should be on the contact us page. They offer more than just the FMVA and have released new content regularly over the years.
@@white_sheep_media_business okay thanks
Very helpful advice. I wish others would be so candid. Thank you for sharing . Congratulations on passing!
Many congratulations 🎉 I am preparing for FAR as well 🤞
FAR was about 6 months with a few months of consistent study. 150-200 hrs if I was estimating. Governmental/NFP was a huge chunk because I have no prior experience. BAR was 40-60 hrs because I already knew so much of the material from other education i.e. MBA & CMA. BAR also builds on FAR and I had just taken it previously. If you remove governmental and NFP from these exams I’d have probably studied way less for both.
How long did u study for FAR and BAR

@@white_sheep_media_business , I thought Governmental and NFP was removed from FAR onto BAR
@@lordjoey9505 Governmental is covered on both. Governmental on BAR is more technical though. I don’t recall any NFP on BAR.
Great video! What to do if the actual payment turns out to be variable so it doesn't match the payment in column "I" ? For example the payment in Column I turns out to be 15,000 the 2nd year instead of 12,813
The best video about CMA you will ever find. Very informative👍🏾👍🏾 insightful piece 🙌🏽
Hey man great video! 👍 how do I run this and link my Robinhood account so I can start trading
Thank you for this video, as I’m about to sit for Part 2 of CMA (already passed Part 1), and was trying to decide if I should shoot for the CPA. The reasons you gave are why I was leaning on doing so and hearing you say it, confirmed that my rationalization is correct.
Keep up the uploads! How did FAR go?
It was tough but I thought BAR was more difficult!
Is FVMA considered as a status? Like CFA and FRM? Is it smth worth to have and help you in your career?
The FMVA isn’t equal to the CFA and doesn’t attempt to be. Getting it will enrich your skill set and look great on a resume but will not open the doors a CFA or equivalent certification will.
how long does it take one to finish it? they say 6 months, but how long in reality?
It really just depends on how frequently you work on it but 3-6 months is a reasonable range.
@@white_sheep_media_business thanks, well I am spending couple of hours per day,
What is the difference between FMVA with CFI and FMVA with grand Thornton .. any one plese suggest ?
Whats your linkedin?
I really like that you are not tied to educational programs for the CMA, so I trust that you are not biased towards it. One of the best videos on the subject, in my opinion. Great information. Thanks for doing it!
Care to explain your career progression, we viewers find it valuable.
Hi! Sure! I started out in a Fortune 500 company about a decade ago as a financial analyst. Most recently I’ve worked at the Director level in a small business. In between, I worked as an accounting/finance manager. I’ve worked in manufacturing, construction, and retail. I don’t think I would have nearly the success without education like what’s included in the CMA.
Keep these videos coming! Inspirational!
How bad were the simulations?I keep hearing that the simulations And many exhibits, is this true?
I Was going to take it tomorrow but I have cobet so i'm here at home sick. Said they had to reschedule april twentieth
Hey man hope u pass
In the middle of FMVA certification now; I've been impressed with the content and believe it will really improve my skillset. Worth the money for sure.
When I calculate the interest return for a 3 month bond, it seems to be a little less than the YTM calculation they listed when you do the necessary calculations.is that normal bc we’re buying from Charles Schwab and not directly from the fed?

As someone who’s seen both exams, I can tell you the CPA is 2x as difficult as CMA so do not underestimate it. Otherwise you will panic during the exam. The reason CMA pass rate is lower is because the candidates don’t have the accounting knowledge to sit for the exam (CPA’s require 30+ credit advanced accounting concepts). So those sitting are already highly qualified test takers.
I enjoyed listening. I just made 38 and been in field for almost 10 years. I'm in the process of sitting for the CPA as well too. Good luck on the journey!
I’m glad you enjoyed it. There are many things covered I have never dealt with in practice and I’m not sure I ever will. If I hadn’t studied those items I’m sure I would have done poorly on those topics.
Thanks for your insight. There aren't too many videos relating to the cma. I think it interests me more than the CPA.
I’m currently studying for the CPA and I can tell you that the CMA was far more interesting. If I had to choose, I’d recommend the CMA.
this is nice, thanks for sharing. can you please explain how you filtered out the top 250 out of russels? thanks
Hi! The criteria I used looked at EBITDA compared to market capitalization. If the company also showed revenue stability/growth I selected those companies. You can use API calls to pull this data in from various website. I used fundamentals data in TwelveData.
Thanks for the video, I really needed that. My dream is to become in an Investment Banking analyst, is this course useful to it? And another question, I just finished my master but I do not really have experience in any financial job. Will it be difficult to take this course for me? Thanks for answering!
Hello! I think this certification would be great for someone with Investment Banking Analyst aspirations. I recommend checking out CFI's website and following them on LinkedIn. As for your second question: You don't necessarily need working experience to successfully complete this certification. You might want to go through their fundamentals courses to get up to speed on any topics you aren't very familiar with from your masters coursework.
Awesome, gonna check it out!
Did you received the certificate after finishing both parts of the exam or received it after becoming a member?
You have to become a member of the IMA before you can sit for the exams. You will only receive the certification after completing both exams with a passing score.
thanks
Hey! Has FMVA italian subtitles for all the videos?
Hi! I’m not sure about that one. Maybe someone else can answer this question. You might also be able to get an answer on the CFI website in the FAQs.
Si , ha i sottotitoli in Italiano ma arrivati a questo punto ti conviene imparare l'inglese onestamente, serve assolutamente per gli esami
Could you link the Python course please?

@@white_sheep_media_business I couldn’t find it that’s so frustrating 🤣 thank you!
hello, many thx, just one question. for the self /study membership, it cost 479 $ Peryear, it will auto renewal for next 12 month,. did u know how to cancel it? i think since u have past the final exam and got the certification, u have no need to continue the membership. many thx in advance
Hello. This is one I cannot answer. Hopefully another program participant can help.
I have 6 years of experience in Financial Due Diligence and want to make a shift to valuations. Should I go for this course?
I personally think this course might fit nicely with your experience and could help with the shift. I would at the very least recommend looking further into it.
I get a bit confused with the coupons. If I found a bond with a 5% YTM and a 2% coupon, is it paying me 5+2=7%? I don't really know what a coupon means in this instance. When I googled it it says it's the interest, but that's what I assumed the YTM is. I don't know how I'd calculate how much I'd get if a bond has a 2% coupon and 5% YTM.
YTM is the overall interest rate that can be earned if held to maturity. It already includes the coupon rate, in this case 2%. I think the confusion might be that you aren’t considering the discount you would receive initially. That is, you might pay $970 for a bond with a face value of $1,000 at maturity. If you consider it and the coupon payments, you should arrive at an overall YTM of ~ 5%. Hope that helps.
@@white_sheep_media_business I appreciate the quick feedback! I was getting a bit tripped up when looking at all the bonds and their various details on Schwab and trying to understand what I'd earn from them. That clears my confusion up
How hard is the final assessment?
When I took it, it took me two tries. However, I’ve heard they’ve made it more difficult now. I think they increased the difficultly because demand for the certification greatly increased.
How many tries you can take. Is there a limit ?
Did you have to repay for taking another exam?@@white_sheep_media_business
@@SujithKumar-wf5us Did you got the answer?
Thanks for the video! Is it a good fit for beginners? Going into college next year and want to complete this before starting.
If you are able to complete this before starting college, you will be ahead. If you are going to complete it before college, you might want to consider going through all of their intro courses if you haven’t been exposed to the material before. I don’t know that I’d say it’s good for beginners but they are good instructors so you may be fine.
@@white_sheep_media_business Thanks for the answer! I’ll definitely go through the intro courses, and hope for the best.
@@davidwilfand916 how did it go?
would you mind attaching your .csv/s?
when they mature do they automatically convert back to cash into your account, or do you need to do something at maturity?
They convert back to cash in your account. Nothing for you to do except be ready to make your next investment with the funds!
