I'm The Medicated Housewife™ and this is my DIY Channel. My name is Sayre and I've been "crafting" all my life. Like so many people, I've battled depression and anxiety for many years, and crafting has been an incredible stress reliever for me. I'm hoping to share my creativity and enthusiasm with others. I've been making Dollar Tree (and other "sourced") projects for Home Decor for years, and nothing makes me happier than figuring out a way to create my own version of the things I see, but for less and with my own personal twist. My personal style is all over the map, and I think there should be no labels when it comes to your personal style. If it looks good to you....then it's good. I love gold and turquoise together, so my favorite was definitely the flower candleholder. You do so many unique things!

The stickers don't stick well because of the wax the trays turned out gorgeous

Hi, this is a really cool project, however I do have a question about using glue for the geode section, wouldn't the heat from the lit candle inside melt the glue with the stones, just wondering if this could happen.
It could happen- however, I have used the holder with the smaller dollar tree candles and they didn't get hot enough to even soften the glue. So I think it depends on how big a candle you are using-as to how hot it gets. Hope that helps. Thanks so much for watching!😊

The gold leaf looks beautiful! FYI the best way I found to get it off my hands was baby oil.
