I also made some videos of type tests with the other sets. Sound shouldn't be too different though since they're all cherry profile keycaps, though I guess the Cherry Milkshake set is made of PBT. I would just use them as reference to what sets you might be able to pair with the keyboard lol

I want to build the Zoom98 as my first custom keyboard. I have been using the same 15-20 year old Steelseries Shift keyboard and never gave much thought about replacing it until I spilled a beer on it. I took it apart to clean it and realized how crude and outdated it was. I replaced it with my first mechanical switch keyboard. A Logitech K845ch full size key board with Cherry Blue tactile switches. It's such a huge improvement over my old dinosaur keyboard I am amazed. It makes typing much more enjoyable. Now I caught the custom keyboard bug and want to build the Zoom98. I have spent the last couple of weeks trying to get knowed up on all the custom keyboard nomenclature, options and sources. I have looked at the Cosmic Odyssey edition and am very impressed by it. Not a budget keyboard anymore with that version but I'm tempted to get it. I only have a couple of weeks to make a decision and jump on the group buy. Thanks for the video.

There are bluetooth commands that you can press to change the connectivity. The instruction I got to change to wired mode was fn + spacebar to switch to USB connection.

I really like them and will probably use them in more builds! They're smooth, sound great out of the box and are just so easy to build with since the factory lube is pretty nice.

Let's gooo! 🎉🎉 The ai art looks cool but I personally don't like that they went with that over actually paying an artist lol. The board is nice looking tho. And the led screen is interesting 🤔

I'm not super familiar with the Soul Land franchise, but I originally thought the art was related to that because they had the collab for the Zoom65 V2.5

agree spacebar is a bit rough. good price for the layout though and if you were doing a muted build for work kinda perfect

Yeah for a work build I'd probably use slient switches like Gazzew Boba U4 silent tactiles

honestly not much different from the zoom 75 keeb. The looks are also quite bland in the 100% form. but a good board non the less. Also the space bar could sounds better without the gasket under the space bar. But you have to use force break mod. Atleast thats how it works in zoom 75.

since they going to add a lightup logo on the arrow keys part wont be looking so bland after this!

Yeah it's essentially a bigger Zoom75. Like TeaTehMan mentioned, they are changing the LED design since a lot of people didn't like the old one. Thanks for the advice on the spacebar! I'll try it out 🙂
