FINALLY a custom with a full numpad and doesn't break the bank. I don't mind that it's between a 100% and 1800 style. Definitely copping this, and probably in this dope orange ano.

@@SevericK_BooMI actually did follow that one, but the QK100 but I didn't care for the exploded arrows or the only 1x2 section underneath the screen/badge area. The Zoom 98 layout fits my needs in a way the QK100 did not.

man i turned around on the lcd so much, ordered the kit just in case with my zoom 75 and it immediately became my favorite choice out of all the choices. Especially after seeing the zoompad with the knob, no real need for one on my keyboard. don't love the little nipple on the 98 under the home cluster, and the 2x2 home cluster in general honestly. but the side profile is awesome

The little nipple thing will be removed on the final production model, instead it will be a RGB cut out in the shape of the telescope logo

hey, need your opinion of the looks of a keeb colour combo: Is Zoom75 or 65 in Sky Blue with Pbtfans Spark Light a good combo? Really liking the sky blue on the renders lol

Hey, I know i’m not alex but I own a Zoom65v2 in sky blue. I find it looks pretty accurate to renders and I love mine match with JTK Illusion. Spark light also seems great, the blueish grey is a lighter tone than the case but I bet it’ll contrast super well.

if i hadn't already bought a qk100, i definitely would have considered this. no regrets with my qk100 though, i really like it

I see the W1-AT influence in this one with bottom and side profile as well as the the Geon style feet. Personally, I prefer the slimmer design of the QK100 more but the pcb on the zoom is less likely to cause hollowness with the backspace.

any other custom makers for 1800's just like this one?

Aren't they usually give you one? Their 65 and 75 include carrying case IIRC. It maybe just that full size carrying case kind of hard to find.

The cases will be purchased in bulk so their cost prices will be lower.

Looks like the quality is there. Unfortunately, the telescope version doesn't feet my style and the "regular" version with the dot light is just horrendous, Makes it look like a cheap toy from aliexpress. Also, not very fond of the layout. Despite me being in the look out for a full keyboard with aluminum body, is a pass for me.

it's 2023 and the numpad is still on the right. when will they learn.

It still feels like we barely got numpad in general so by current rates we'll get left side numpad in 2029

@@alaudbrother either top right and just move some keys, or by the arrow keys. I never said it would fit without a redesign but it’s what’s needed at this point

Why not just make it full size? Saving one entire column of space. The nav cluster looks stupid, especially with the arrows separated in x but not y direction. Pass.

This layout is pointless. All it achieves is getting rid or ins/del or home/end for no reason.

I think the layout is butt ugly but they certainly tried to make it interesting. If it was a more normal full size layout, it might've been the first time I wanted a custom full size.

it’s interesting how different the mods sound vs @kirin_ soundtests - spacebar still kinda hollow?

I mean, i hate to beat a dead-horse but... flexcuts will make anything sound weak and not full. its a trade off for that typing experience. I dont think it sounded hollow though, more so just flat. The spacebar was actually really nice though!
