    They’re called King Midas because they’re golden colored, and according to the story everything King Midas touched turned to gold

    Absolutely stunning. I am currently in the process of buying single heads and placing zoas all over my aquarium. I'm hoping for a zoa dominated tank by the end of next year

    Hey March and Fragbox crew! Look into a monopod for when using your macro lens. It'll help stability and is not nearly as cumbersome as a tripod. It wont help with the top down macro shots though, but will make the through-the-glass, side macro shots more stable

    Those slow growing red ones in the beginning were beauts. Those are zoas I can dig.

    Even if those macro lenses are meant to only be used on a tripod. I think the way you use it is awesome! You get super cool shots of Corals and fish that you don't usually see!

    I think the zoanthids at 2:39 are called "Sticker Shocker Palys" - a somewhat fitting name considering just how expensive a single polyp is. I have these in my tank as well. One of my favorites for sure. :)

    @Skyy_4152 жыл бұрын

    I'm reducing my zoa collection, only keeping large polyp varieties, ones that are bright and hardy. I started losing colonies, I believe it's some unknown bacteria inside my tank..at least my sps doing great

  • @PrattsDrywallPaintCo

    So if your loosing zoa’s but your sps is doing great. That must mean you have like 0 nitrate 0 phosphate. Zoanthids like a dirty tank. If you like keeping a super clean tank all the time and you’ve been in the hobby and have experience dosing. Try dosing nitrate from Red Sea. It’s dangerous and I’d recommend just letting your fish shit in your tank and get your sandbed all dirty🤣

    Bought some of your Zoa on Black Friday. Wow type colour and opened immediately. March, I enjoy your service, your store, good deals. Reef Fam! Simply the best coral store ever. I just call them Zoa. That’s what they are. But do you have any of those “Red Nuclear Obliterations”? Maybe some “777” green, red or blue….doesn’t matter…

    Hey March. Watanabei angel looks like she's struggling the maintain neutral buoyancy (if she stops swimming she'll rise to the surface). This is quite common in this species as their caught at greater depths and sometimes brought up a little to fast, swim bladder decompression issue. Sorry, that was my side-track of the day, I'll keep watch the video now 🙂. Love your content.

    Talk about slow growing my LSOH are almost going back in time . All the other Zoa are growing at pest level speeds but I’ll be lucky to get a new polyp on this guy every 4 to 6 months. Bummed because not only are they my fave color wise they are easy to trade/sell. Funny my Utter Chaos never grew when they were worth good money 6-7 years ago but as soon as they dropped to 20 bucks a polyp they spread like wild fire. Mind of there own for sure.

    It reallt varies per tank and per environment they are kept in. For example some do great under t5, others prefer LED, while my buddy has more succes exactly opposite lightning with exaxt same strand of zoas. Some zoa guy from my reefclub allways says that the cheaper zoas are often a generally more fastgrowing. The more expensive they are the harder they grow and therefor the harder they are able to get frags/are willing to frag;) 1 frag of 1 polyp grand master krakatoa goes for 1000+ euro for a reason;) While rasta's for 5-10 euro a polyp in my country But some gold variant, pink diamonds, people eaters go for 1 euro per polyp;) From the 1-30euro per polyp range the rule "the cheaper = the faster they grow/are happy" has mostly been accurate, so collect some good looking ones instead of having some ugly ones become your biggest coral:p
