I've grown several nice zoa gardens over the years and agree to everything in video, especially the nutrient params However, there's a point of potential disaster here i wish was made more clear. Healthy zoa/paly gardens thrive in nutrient rich water, but so do nuisance algae. Note how clean his tanks are. Keeping a nitrate level of 10 and phosphates at .1 in a 4 month old tank is virtually impossible. Nuisance algaes take hold suddenly , your nutrients bottom, and water changes make things worse. Most zoas can't handle this and will melt or recede. Getting those nutrient levels up and keeping a clean tank takes time, attention., and a bit of black art. Gorgeous tanks. I'm not too far from toledo and would like to make a trip.

100% this is a good point I should have touched on. There is a balance between nutrient rich and algae control.

So my levels are really high but I don't understand why my Palys are doing fine but my Zoas are receding... should water changes still help if I use an rodi system?

I have had them ship to me in new Brunswick in winter. They put in a heat pack or 3 in one of my orders.
Nice, how high are your led lights, like height from Zoas?
How do you feed them
Is Zooplankton a good all around coral food?
How often do you feed them? I am getting some zoas and they will be the only coral in the tank aside from the hammer and GSP. Once a week? Twice a week? Broadcast with the AB+ or target? How much? I figure my zoas will be 3-4 heads.
What lights do you keep over the frag tank?
What type of sand bed do you use .in your frag system?
What were the zoas @2:13? Lovely
Is it possible to keep the camera as steady as possible and to focus on each coral a bit longer? Love your videos but getting motion sickness:(
What is your Feeding routine for the zoa tank Thanks
Hi , by any chance do you happen to know the name of a coral that releases colorful substance in the water? I dunno if it's a coral but I found it in the sea. 😅
More on zoas!!! More on Zoas!! And more on zoas!!!🤪
My zoas did great for a few years but the growth has stopped the past couple years and I ln not sure why
Trying to find an ID for the Zoas you showed in 2:09-2:10ish checked ur website but couldn’t find anything that looked similar. Please let me know very interested!

Same. Did you find any info on it?
What do you put them on to make them grow round?
what kind of substrate is that?
May I ask what type of substrates that you use for your Zoanthids tank? I just start my tank and don't want to use sand. Thank you very much
Those plates they are glued to. Begat size are they...
