Two Set everywhere!!!

Ziyu He's rendition of "Nel cor piu non mi sento" is nothing short of breathtaking. This piece, historically rich and technically demanding, has been tackled by many violinists over the years, but Ziyu He brings a fresh and invigorating perspective to it. The title, which translates to "In my heart, I no longer feel," is an aria from Giovanni Paisiello's opera "La Molinara." It's a piece that demands not just technical prowess but also a deep emotional connection. The piece's intricate notes and rapid transitions require a violinist of exceptional skill, and Ziyu He delivers flawlessly. The context in which this piece is played adds layers of depth to the performance. The emotional weight of the aria, combined with Ziyu He's impeccable technique, creates a musical experience that is both moving and awe-inspiring.

This performance is an example where the instrument is less capable than the violinist. Absolutely perfect performance. He drags notes from the violin with such skill and force the instrument is submissive to the player. Just amazing.

Keep in mind this was the last part of a 40-min presentation. Makes this performance even more impressive.

Imagine being one of the other competitors watching this at the time. 😳

I've been playing violin for 11.5 years. I think I'm not too shabby of a player, but I will ABSOLUTELY never get to THIS level. This is next-level stuff.

For this performance, Ziyu was given last place and told to give up on his violin dreams for lack of talent. First place was awarded to literial God, who came down from the heavens, picked up a violin, and played Flight of the Bumblebee so fast that it cause an actual tornado to form. The tornado got out of control and destored the concert hall and nearby city. 11 people died. God said, "that's how it's done dip-s@#$'s" and then ascended back up into the heavens. Historically, it was a pretty weak first place. The consensus is that many prior winners gave much better performances. Some played Flight of the Bumblebee even faster.
