You know, there's a wonderful sense of poetry at the end. Eddy has just collapsed after his amazing attempt at this stunningly difficult piece. He knows it's not perfect, but he succeeded in making it to the end without any huge mistakes (needing to stop or redo a section, etc). He utters this guttural sigh of relief that it's done, it's finally done, and better than one would have expected after only two months of practice. It's followed only by a poignant stillness and two words inscribed on the parting screen: "keep practicing". The chills were real.

There were no excuses before going into this, he just showed up and played it to the best of his ability - I'm not a violinist myself so I might be wrong but it seems like Eddy has done something incredible in just two months! Also, as a non-violinitst I really love how he broke down the difficult parts in the piece and explained why they were difficult! Twoset very often has a seriously informative take to whatever they're doing and I really appreciate it a lot. Great job, Eddy, eagerly waiting for that 3M Sibelius drop!

I appreciate the fact that Eddy did it to keep the promise Twoset made to the fans and so that Brett can do the 2M Tchaikovsky for us to enjoy. Just want to clarify, yes we know Brett is known for his amazing LH pizz. But it doesn't mean only Brett can do it or has to do it . LH Pizz is a skill that Eddy showed he could pick up if he practiced. Remember Twoset is a package of Brett and Eddy. Can you imagine if a teacher says that child X is better than child Y in trigonometry, so child Y doesn't need or is not expected to learn or do? If a person lives with the belief that others are better than him and he will never be able to do that, so he wouldn't try, then he will never be able to do it. Eddy, stop depreciating yourself and have some confidence after this performance. TS fans, please be encouraging towards Eddy. Twosetviolin is capable of great things for the classical music world when both members in the team continue to grow stronger together. Remember, a team is only as strong as its weakest link. So both members must be responsible for its growth.

Well to be fair when you have to practice a piece this difficult is hard not to memorize it since you have to play each measure so many times to get it right. I'm practicing a piece on the piano right now, fantaisie impromptu from Chopin, which for me is very hard, and I actually have to practice this piece bar by bar at a very slow pace, but the upside of that is when I can finally play a certain section of the piece, I will have played that section so many times that I can practically dream it.
