In general, I think most prodigies are very humble people. They can truly appreciate how much work it takes to get good at something. Sorta the unusual side of the "Dunning-Kruger effect". I think we just tend to see the noisy bad apples because...well...they're noisy.

Blacc Iriss Autism is not a well understood or well defined condition, so I think it’s a mistake to just dismiss prodigious ability as the product of some genetic malady. It undermines the many, many hours that this kid has surely put into developing his skill. Perhaps there is some synesthesia going on in his hearing and understanding of pieces, but autism doesn’t magically imbue one with the manual dexterity and bowing technique required for violin. Alas, this is what happens when we put too much faith in the conjecture of soft sciences. Everyone has ADD and Asberger’s, right?

Adam Meade obvious to be good people need to practice hahahha like it’s very obvious that even with insane talents which he obviously have the skill is impeccable even tho I don’t play violin the first challenge he nailed it and I can tell the notes are so precise and it tells me how well he understands the violin which comes from tons of practice

Blacc Iriss Okay. I get ya. I do agree he exhibits some traits often seen with people on the autistic spectrum. You might be right, but it could also be cultural. Among Asians who were actually raised in Asian cultures or by culturally Asian parents, there often seems to be a sort of reserved and cordial disposition, so that may be a factor, as well. Anyhow, I’m just speculating, too. Either way, he seems like a nice guy who we all could learn from. :)

That's exactly what I was thinking about. He isn't insecure at all, and he doesn't take himself too seriously.

Just now I was thinking, "Are Two-Set Violin the Greatest and Most Successful Fanboys of all Time?" I mean, there is no shortage of KZread Reactors but how many of them get to have actual prodigies and legends coming to THEIR channel to do crazy challenges just so you guys can fanboy to them LIVE. It's mind-boggling. This is God-tier level. And while your self-esteem takes liver-shots that would kill anybody else's dreams, you guys are still playing, still enjoying, still laugh-crying, still PRACTICING... Not to mention the fact that you guys are probably single-handedly making classical music accessible and relevant to a whole new generation - in a whole new format. That is LEGENDARY. Someday, I'll tell my kids that you guys have been saving Classical Music since 2013.

Honestly this is why I love these guys. Its so easy to get jealous of people better than you, but these two are just genuinely happy to meet, see, hear from the best musicians around the world. They love that someone is better, its a testament to how hard they worked for it. Love it. Also Ziyu is great. "Smile so the audience won't know its difficult". As an Italian, I can confirm Ziyu's pronunciations of the piece names are some of the most accurate pronunciations by a non-native speaker I've ever heard, except for Nel cor più non mi sento, but it's not his fault. It's hard to pinpoint the o sound and saying the words in the right tone

Because it's mostly your muscle memory that does the work so switching to your less dominant hand is like starting from zero unless you're an ambidextrous and practice with both sides

@@manager-nim2623 Oh yeah, that I know. After doing violin for 13 years, I never thought about switching hands until I saw this channel where they occasionally do it. I tried practicing it and can barely do a one octave D major scale. It's just funny seeing prodigies and professional soloists struggle.

That hand switch thing would legit work wonders if you need to remind a pro or a teacher how hard even the basic stuff is when it's not all muscle memory. That's about how everyone sounds like starting out, I imagine.

thats true isn't it. And you just watch the show, and laugh at the antics of the twisted twins comic duo. Is it wrong laughing while Brett chokes reacting to Ziyu trying to play opposite hand because he's laughing so hard.

Ok I haven't really gotten into the instrument channels side of KZread. Until now. I have tried to play the violin in the past, but you two are just so adorable in your interactions. I love how you don't inflate your egos just because you're professionals.
