Hey I have a sprinter van with similar issues. Have to use onject to push down on to release the gear. I had the shifter changed out still same issue. Have suggestions?

Hello hope you can help I have a 2009 merc sprinter auto stuck in park can you help I’ve been told it’s the gear selector sensor I can only much the lever when I press the release button thank you.

Hey, what could be the problem if my 07 sprinter changes gears at high rpm? 1 to second normal but rest of the gears rpms go to 3000-3500 then goes in to the next gear. Thnx

My shifter stopped going into P & R it still goes into D & N. I was sent a new shifter But before I start replacing parts I want to make sure it’s actually the shifter. My ABS has stopped working for sometime now. One day I tried to go into Park and it just wouldn’t go. My reverse lights stopped working as well. Any insight would be great! It’s a 2001 T1N.

Wow interesting, I never had this problem before, but this is electric shifter, I have 2 possible solutions, it’s either the shifter is bad or actual shift lever on the transmission

Great I will do, this million mile sprinter is responsible for my Success, I bought all my sprinters with it, a home and parts and it’s been serving me sense 2012

I mean I started my love for the Mercedes a few years ago just because I find them actually easy to work on for some reason I can just relate to them and just I understand them in a form that I like that my it works well with me and working on these sprinters I've learned so much to literally tell people now few questions just as I can figure out over the phone what is wrong and I've been watching your videos now and they're awesome and you're cool very informational and then just a lot of things that I've learned from watching but I really got to see that thing million miles amazing

You sound awesome 👏 we would definitely get along, I started my love for sprinters back in 2007 with a new van a 2007 one, I learned allot by owning it, then I got a second Sprinter was a 2002 back in 2010, and in 2012 I got my 2006 sprinter which has the million miles on it. I have done just about everything to it, from fixing everything wrong with the engine to Transmission and electrical, you can see most videos in season 2 is with my million mile sprinter and lots of Expedite videos as well, currently it has one million 187k on it, speedometer starter counting over once it hit one million lol, in a way it’s sad but in a way it’s like I got a low mileage sprinter now lol, currently it needs transmission serviced most likely just the torque converter but can be a surprise as well. I would of fixed it already but I have 6 sprinters 4 SUVs and 2 cars, 2 cash properties that I got from the bank, they are connected to each other which is nice, but this also means, yard work, always building stuff; my home was a huge remodel, basically I replaced everything you can see that in my real estate videos, still trying to work on my home, but when I am done I will build a garage 30x40 or longer, and work on Sprinters I own in it and on my cars and car projects this is why I need a big place like a man cave hehe, by the way I find sprinters easy to work on to, but sometimes I get stumped to, like right now with ABS issue, that I have, it looks like maybe it’s as simple as replacing a speed sensor but I then wonder, why does my TCM Show that it’s rear left speed sensor but at same time the icarsoft CR Plus is reading it just fine with same exact reading for left rear and right rear wheels, it’s kinda confusing, but then again I am a self thought mechanic, most of this stuff on my channel I learned on my own, because back in 2007 or beyond there was not allot of information available about sprinters and even the dealer was not always sure what’s going on, but anyways stay in touch and let’s learn from each other, maybe you can help me understand some things that I don’t understand, there’s still allot to learn about mechanics, I did take 4 years of Shop class in high school and learned allot, then owned Nothing but Audi’s and one VW Jetta 1.8T and learned to do timing job on my Audi 90S and 100CS but the Audi TT I did not do anything to, it was race modified, things like chip and bolt on performance parts, fun car. But anyways I am a car guy and I enjoy working with cars but not as a business for customers, just as a everyday hobby for me, and record videos with what I do and continue this life of car projects and KZread. As you notice, I do always talk to my viewers and never ignore anyone so stay in touch 👍😉

But also. I work on sprinters and abs issue....should not have anything to do with the gear selector. If you have LHM issue. 2nd gear. Hard to get in to reverse or park. No gear indication on cluster. No up shift arrow. That is a gear Selector issue. Abs is usually bad wheel bearing or sensor,brake pad,rotor, axle play etc.

Really that sounds interesting please tell me, is it possible to connect to Sprinter ABS system with iCarsoft CR Plus or MB2 non of my sprinters connect to ABS, but ABS speed sensor code is only transmission related code

@@ZimaletaMotors conductor plate or 13 pin connector. Basically is it is saying that it is trans related. Sounds to be it doesnt have a signal to speed or trans even moving. In my experience. Internal speed sensor and or abs for trans has been the plate. Or 13 pin plug.. Pilot bushing starts to leak. Clean tcm undee drivers seat. Make sure nontrans oil is on clips to tcm. Change that and clear codes. Drive it and see if it doing better or code comes back. The Sprinter I was working on had the ABS light issue as well so we change the pads because they were worn down and it did go away for a minute after we cleared the codes but because of the issue in the conductor plate after about 45 miles I think it was basically three days he drives in the city so he didn't drive it much but it took 3 days in the code came back so we change the plate in the 13 pin and nothing's come back now but of course it's back here and the gear selector has gone bad

I just don’t like the DEF and PDF problems, but that aside it’s a good van, not a fan of 7 speed transmission do, it’s not something I can work on
